Halloween Yunosa

Mimosa point-of-view

It was a cool afternoon and the sun was hanging low in the sky. There was no breeze and only a few lumps of snow that had yet to melt. Me and Yuno were on patrol together even though he really didn't need anyone's help. He was with me for my benefit, not his. We were at a small festival that the Queen was also attending. Mostly kids were attending with their parents. The country was still in shock and working to rebuild itself. There were games, food, and haunted houses.

"I'm surprised there isn't more snow around. It was completely ice and snow the last time we were here."

"I think part of the curse had been lifted but cold weather may just be natural from the country due to being so far north."

"I was shocked they celebrate some of the same holidays as we do. It will be too cold to do anything at night but it is cool that they have day-long fairs and festivals for Halloween. They used to be held inside the castle but the siblings did away with the celebration and the destruction of the castle prevented to from being held there this year.

"It's nice enough to be held out here this year. That's good. Even if the turnout is small."

"Yeah. I hear your birthday was a few weeks back. Did you miss the Clover Kingdom?"

"A bit. ....I don't mind life here so far though."

"That's good. Do you have any Halloween trad..."

"Do you like haunted Houses?"

"Huh?"

"Do you want to join me? I like haunted houses," He says pointing to an old rundown stone house

"Oh...Sure. You lead the way." I hesitantly followed behind Yuno as he led the way into the haunted house. As I walk through the thresh hold, a vampire grabs me and tries to drag me away from Yuno. I scream and lunge towards Yuno clinging to his cape.

"Are you okay? If it's too scary for you we can leave."

"N...no. You said you like haunted houses. I want to make you happy."

"Alright."

We continue down the dark corridors and up and down the stairs as monsters and boogymen jump out at us. I shook in fear but did my best to not scream. Yuno flinches and even jumps back a few times but mostly laughs off the jump scares and comforts me.

"I'm happy to see you smile and laugh again."

Yuno looks at me with a confused smile.

"You have just looked so down these past few weeks. Even Bell has been worried about you."

"Really. Hmm. I don't think I've been that bad these few weeks. Maybe it was all the stress. Being in charge of everyone while we are here is a lot more work than I thought it would be. I'll try to smile more often to put everyone at ease."

"Oh no. You don't have to force yourself. If you need help with the paperwork, I can always help you. Fuegoleon always emphasized doing paperwork correctly and completely on the first try. So I'm pretty familiar with the Clover Kingdom's filing system."

"I might have to take you up on that offer. I hope the Haunted house didn't startle you too much."

"Oh. I'm fine. Things weren't too scary once we started talking."

"I'm glad."
