A Cool Guy - Y/N x Hayato Suo Oneshot

Y/N found herself pondering at Cafe Pothos. The warm fluffy egg on top of the fried rice harmonized in her mouth as she chewed. Kotoha peeked over, her eyebrows slightly furrowed and her head tilted. The two had been good friends for a while, especially since Sakura saved Y/N from a group of scary guys earlier in the year. Sakura, being the awkward man he is, had no idea how to calm her down, so he took her to Kotoha and then dipped.
"Whats on your mind Y/N?"
"....."
"Y/N!"
"Huh? Sorry! What were you saying?"
"Jeez Y/N! You rarely ever think, so what could possibly be on your mind?" Kotoha asked with a smile.
Y/N had to pause for a moment. What was she even thinking about again? Y/N also furrowed her eyebrows until she remembered and turned red... just like his hair! eek!
"I was thinking about..." Y/N starts
"About??"
"....." Y/N was getting more and more embarrassed by the minute. Kotoha simply looked at her patiently as she dried a plate.
"I was thinking about Suo!" Y/N blurts.
"Suo? He's the one with the eyepatch right?" Kotoha inquires with a devious smile.
"Yeah! I saw him fighting off a gang with Sakura the other day and I just couldn't take my eyes off his...."
"His??" Kotoha asks again, with a wide grin on her face this time.
"His cold manner!"
Kotoha looked at the girl, the smile from her face completely gone and this time she looked concerned...
Just then, Y/N could hear a click and the doorbell chime as someone walked in... That 'someone' being the man, Hayato Suo himself! Although Suo was always smiling, calm, and carried himself in a gentlemanly manner, there was something that Y/N seemed to notice that most people didn't: his chilling eyes. Sure, he always has a smile on his face, but the way he looks when he's fighting off the bad guys... He's just so cool! Y/N wishes he would look at her like that, even if it was just once! Y/N found herself daydreaming about his harsh attitude once again...
"So, gossiping about me?"
Y/N immediately turned around and saw him with his signature smile. Sakura and Nirei were beside him as well, although for whatever reason they both looked more embarrassed than she actually was.
Y/N had no idea what to say, and when she turned back around to signal Kotoha for help, she was gone! The poor girl could only sit in her seat and pretend she heard nothing, until Suo grabbed her wrist and escorted her out the Cafe! Y/N trusted Suo, even though they had only interacted a few times, his firm yet gentle hold emitted a warmth that felt almost comforting. It was a nice day outside, with the sun shining and a cool breeze. After some walking, she found herself at the park with him.
"I heard everything you said in that Cafe. When I heard you say my name, I couldn't help but listen" he said, with a slight chuckle.
"Why would you eavesdrop?!" Y/N asked, covering her face.
"I mean why wouldn't I? Of course I would be interested to hear what a pretty girl likes about me" he answered bluntly. Y/N wished this moment would go on forever until a crowd started to surround the two. It was the lackeys that Sakura had saved her from earlier in the year!
"Hey, aren't you friends with that panda-haired guy?" asked one of the lackeys. The others smiled down at the girl condescendingly, intimidating her. She hid behind Suo, weirdly feeling more excited than scared. She wanted to see Suo fight! As the lackeys drew closer, one of them eventually swung but was thrown onto the ground by Suo! He fought gracefully as if he was dancing, swiftly dodging all the swings thrown at him.
Eventually, the lackeys realized they probably couldn't beat him, and so they changed their tactic and started to charge at Y/N. This made Suo visibly angry and there she saw it: HIS ANGRY FACE!! Y/N felt terrified that she was about to get attacked, but also felt giddy being able to see Suo be angry for her! Suo, being the agile man he is got to Y/N before the lackeys did and shoved them all away. He then knocked them unconscious before going back to check on Y/N. The red head fully expected her to look scared, but she had a warm smile on her face.
"Thank you for protecting me, Suo."
Now Suo's face was the color of his hair!
"Anytime my dear" he replied.
He then grabbed Y/N's hand and the two continued their peaceful walk through the park, where not only cherry blossoms were blooming but a new love too.
