The early morning light seeped through the curtains, casting a soft glow in the bedroom. Leyla stood in front of the mirror, meticulously getting ready for her shift at the hospital. She applied a soft shade of lipstick to her heart-shaped lips, the color perfectly complementing her warm complexion. Her almond-shaped eyes, framed by long, dark lashes, sparkled with determination as she applied the final touches to her makeup.

Across the room, Emmad watched her, captivated by her beauty. He was supposed to be getting ready for the office, but he found himself unable to look away. Her grace, her confidence, and the delicate way she moved held him in a trance. As she smoothed a stray lock of her raven-black hair behind her ear, she caught his stare in the mirror.

"What are you looking at?" she asked, raising an eyebrow in playful annoyance.

Emmad didn't respond immediately, still lost in his admiration. Leyla's eyes narrowed slightly, her annoyance growing.

"Emmad," she said, a bit more firmly. "Do you have some sort of ick about not replying?"

Her words finally registered, and Emmad blinked, snapping out of his reverie. "Sorry, what did you say?"

Leyla rolled her eyes, exasperated. "I asked what you were looking at."

"Nothing," Emmad replied quickly, a mischievous smile tugging at his lips. "Just wondering how my bhabi is going to react when she finds out you’re going to work the day after our wedding."

Leyla smirked, turning back to the mirror. "I'll tell her to mind her own business."

Emmad’s expression turned serious. "Please don’t say anything like that. It’ll cause problems."

Leyla turned to face him, her eyes flashing. "Excuse me? How dare you tell me what to do." She took a pause and said, "Maine apko apne ap par, apni zindagi par, apne faislon, aur apne jism par koi haq nahi diya."

Emmad laughed, amused by her fiery declaration. "Ap mujhe apne ap par, apni zindagi par, apne faislon, aur apne jism par koi haq dein ya na dein, ye haq mujhe qudrati mil chuke hain, kyun ki ab ap meri biwi hain. Ye haq mujhse koi nhi cheen sakta."

With that, he exited the room to have breakfast, leaving Leyla staring at her reflection in the mirror, her anger simmering. She took a deep breath, trying to push away the irritation. Today was just another day, she told herself, and she had a job to do. But Emmad's words lingered in her mind, challenging her resolve.
