Its not a secret I try to hide

"I told you to pay the apartment fees by the Monday but see now its Friday. You have three months to pay. You are lucky that I still did not throw you from this. Didn't you tell your mom about this because if not I am going to call her"

The apartment owner yelled at the teen boy who is standing by the door with and apologetic expression. The lady dialed the number of the boy's mother and the call ended unanswered.

"You are lucky that she didn't answer the call. Be ready to pay the money by tomorrow." With that the lady turned around.

"Can't you cut the fees from the money that you have yet to give me. I already finished the lessons of this month for your son. So I think with this month's one, the money will be enough."

The lady's face turned into a frown at the mention of the money. She thought the boy had forgot about it. And of course our boy didn't forget it. He has a very good memory gifted by the god.

"I hope you won't call my mother as it is settled. I don't want to be a burden to her." The boy continued bowing at her indirectly telling her to leave.

The lady turned her back and walked away feeling defeated.

The moment the boy closed the door he heard the land phone ringing. He hurried towards it and answered it taking a seat beside it.

"Hello mom.."

"Son..." He heard his mother sobbing and it worried him.

"Mom.. Are you okay?" The boy asked sounding worried.

"Please Jaehyun.. Please reject the offer I'm asking you. Say you can't do it. I don't want others to consider you as a low servant."

"What is it mom? And don't cry. I know it is not something worthy for your crying"

"Today.. Mr.Lee asked me about you and offered you and opportunity to learn in his school-"

"Mom you mean Yangshim high?" The boy asked not believing his mom's words

"Hmm... But there's a thing though." The women trailed off not wanting to tell him.

"What is it?"

"He wants you to work for him like me. He wants you to look after the dog he took for her daughter. And I don't want you working as a slave Jaehyun-ah"

"Mom, what are you talking? He just wants me to look after the dog. And you know how much I love dogs. And mom this is the least I can do to pay them. You know how much it cost to even enroll into the school."

"But I don't want you here Jaehyun. Maybe the master and his wife is okay but his eldest son and daughter is worse. They treat us like we are some kind of animals."

"It's okay mom.."

"NO.. You don't understand what I say."

"Mom I can. If it means I can stay with you, I will do it."

"Please think thoroughly again Jaehyun because I respect your opinion. If you feel like you can manage it come here. But I guarantee you that living here is like hell."

"I will mom. It is my last decision."

"Okay then I will let Mr.Lee know that you agreed."

The boy nod his head even though other line couldn't see it.

"Bye mom.."

"Bye son.."

He ended the call. It is true that he answered his mother without thinking through properly. But he just feel that it will go great.

The moment he heard that he will be looking after a dog he was happy. He was always a puppy lover. But he hoped that it is not some kind of a big aggressive dog.

A knock on the door made him come out from his thoughts. He slowly walked to it and opened the door to meet a smiley Ni-ki waving at him.

Letting out a chuckle he gestured him to come inside.

"Why did you come here? This is not your usual hangout time." Jaehyun asked.

"You got me. I actually came here to check on you. I heard my mom talking bad about you with our neighbours. So I guessed something happened." Ni-ki said taking a seat on the couch beside the older boy.

"Hmm... Something indeed happen." The older boy said eyes fixed on the telephone infront. Ni-ki stared at the boy who was deep in thought.

"I won't be able to tutor you anymore Niki." He finally looked into the eyes of younger which were written in shock and confusion.

"Why? Did mom say something bad to you? Did she say to stop me tutoring?" The younger asked his eyes slightly watering.

"Did she tell you to leave?" Niki asked after noticing his silence.

"Yes... I'm leaving. But it's not her fault. My mom called me. I'm going to live with her." When he turned around to face the younger he saw his eyes filled with tears.

"Hey why are you crying? Aren't you happy for me?" Jaehyun asked in a comforting manner. Without answering Niki hugged him and cried.

"I am happy that you finally got to live with your mother. But you are going to leave me. I don't want that." He said after sometime being hugged by the older.

"Oh don't worry. How about a hangout on every sunday? I am sure I can make a day for you." He said ruffling the younger's hair.

"No I want you to tutor me."

"Oh my is that you Riki?" He asked in a teasing manner.

"Don't tease me. It's just, you teach more clearly than our teacher. So... promise to meet me." He asked showing his pinky finger.

"Okay. Promise."

"Bye hyung."

"Bye Niki.." He said waving at the leaving figure.
