I hear the door open and there she stood in that beautiful black dress. I can't believe how beautiful can someone look? It looked like she was sculpted and sent just for me. Her eyes, those big brown round eyes in which I got lost until I hear her soft voice pulling me out.
'Hi'.

'Hey', I whisper. 'You look beautiful and I must say taller than usual', I say looking down at her heels and then looking up into her eye.
'Thanks, you don't look too bad yourself', she smiles and I could notice her cheeks redden. Cute.
'Shall we?'
'Yeah, just a minute'.
She runs inside to grab her bag and puts a black polaroid camera inside it.
'Now, what's that for?', I ask her pointing at the camera. 'To capture some good and beautiful memories of course', she presents her factual statement.
'Sure'.

She fumbles with keys and locks the door. I move aside to let her walk first as we make our way towards the elevator. 'Hope you wouldn't leave me standing this time', she raises her one eyebrow looking at me. I chuckle and say, 'You enter first then'.

When the doors of the elevator close I gaze at her as she takes out her camera and takes a picture and puts the camera back along with polaroid that just came out of it.
'What?', she asks with an innocent look on her face.
'Nothing, you just look so artistic to me right now with that dress and camera', I smile.
'Oh, does it look bad?', she questions with worry consuming her voice.
'No darling, you look fictional and fictional is always alluring'.

I open the door of the car of her and then enter myself in the driver's seat.

'Where are we going?', she asks me for the third time getting impatient.
'You'll know', I keep my reply simple making her sigh.
'You took a day off today?', I speak up continuing the conversation. 'No, I closed early today'.

My plan was to take her to my favourite restaurant which is not fancy or anything. Definitely gives a bit vintage vibes. I've been going there since my childhood and it has been my favourite ever since. I just hope she likes it.

'Okay, we're here', I turn off the engine and step out of the car, I make my way towards the other side and open the door for her. 'Thanks', she gives me a small smile which I return.
I guide her inside the restaurant keeping my hand on her small back.

'It's pretty', I look at her taking in the interior and aesthetics of the restaurant. 'I know, I've been coming here since my childhood', I tell her as we make our way towards our table.
'How does it feel to be born rich, Mr. Singh?', she mocks me with a smirk on her face. I bend down close to her left ear and slowly whisper ,'Oh, I don't know Ms. Singh maybe ask our kids in future'. I smirk when I see blood rushing to her cheeks as she looks down at her feet.

'So tell me about your family?', I ask her once the food has arrived. 'Well, my mum has got a really cute and small book cafe in Manali, my dad is a professor at the college in Manali itself and my younger sister is in Bangalore for her studies'.

'You're from Manali?', I ask her astonished. 'Yup, that's my home'.
'Shit, that's awesome'.
'What about you?', she asks once she has swallowed the food in her mouth. 'Well, my family lives in Delhi only. My father is now retired trying to enjoy his life while I hold his position, my older brother is the analyst for all our business and my mum is the glue that holds our family together'.

After an hour or something we leave the restaurant and go for a little walk in a nearby park.
'What's your dream destination?', I ask her out of nowhere as we walk between the woods with crickets making sounds. 'New Zealand, It's such a surreal place to even exist, so beautiful', she looks up at me.

I look at her as she struggles to walk any more with those heels. 'Are your feet hurting?'
'I can manage', she reassures me giving me a tight smile.
'Are they hurting?'
'Maybe a little bit but it's alr-,' I grab a hold on her waist and sweep her off her feet, carrying her in my arms until we reach my car.
Also, I left her speechless for the second time tonight.
