The girl's eyes flatter open as she tries to adjust the light peeping in her room. Somehow, she feels better now as if the knot that builds up in the pit of her stomach was being lifted away. The girl in the picture frame remained still--showing off her bright smile amidst the lonely ambience she's in. Feighlyn sits up, meeting the girl's gaze in the mirror--the melancholic gaze the girl held makes Feighlyn's stomach churn in an undesirable way. Turning away form the burning gaze, Feighlyn touches her forehead--sensing something must have happened while she's asleep. Something that's odd yet feels so right. A tiny smile tugs at the corner of her lips as she stood up. Maybe, something really happened. Maybe, its more than just a sense of hallucination.
She heads for the closet located at the far corner of her room--feeling the smoothness of the perfectly carved door with her name engrave on it. As she opens it, the scent of fabric greeted her in an overwhelming embrace. Inhaling the refreshing scent, Feighlyn hums a tune--a tune way too old for us to recognize yet so beautiful as it perfectly suits her. Feighlyn swirls around; heading for the bathroom--with her dark blue, knee-length dress in her hands. Tick.... Tock.... The clock's noise fills the air as she strips her dress off changing into the blue dress she have gotten just a while ago. The clock reads 9:30 A.M. as she goes out from her bedroom. She stops in her tracks as she saw her reflection at the mirror--she touches her forehead once again, smiling like crazy, heart beating so loud that she can feel like that it'll pop out of her chest in no time.
"It feels so real.... Someday... someday... I might be able to see you soon enough. Just hold on...."
Variety of foods lined up on the street sides as Feighlyn made her way to groups of people crowding on stool to stool. The scent of foods everywhere fills her nostrils making her drool--literally. Walking down the alleys, she throws glances everywhere, eyeing every food she passes by. But how unlucky she is, rain started to gush down as Feighlyn remained still--left dumbfounded on her spot, legs have given up as her eyes widened upon hearing that voice. That sound... That same booming voice...
She turns around hoping to see the guy she's after for--the guys who's been haunting her mind lately. Praying silently that she'll be able to meet him--even just this time but upon turning around, disappointment washes over her. No one is there. No one showed up. Is her mind playing trick on her? She couldn't believe it.
"Miss--you're all soaked up; you might as well come here and have a cover from the pouring rain", a man in his mid-20s suggested as Feighlyn ducks her head down, consumed by her thoughts. But then---all she can hear is the pit-a-pat of the water as it hits the umbrella. She reluctantly looks up and she saw a red umbrella covering them. The man with his scarf messily placed on his neck yet a warm gaze cover his eyes and a thoughtful smile was painted on his lips.
"Such a stubborn kid," he declares smugly as he grabs his dry scarf from his neck and places it on our protagonist's shoulder. "...just like your sister."
