"You guys are new."
a group of drones surrounded Seamstress, silently taking millions of pictures..
"Well..drones, follow me! We'll walk to school together."
The drones followed her behind like a bunch of dogs. To Seamstress..this was normal.
"Andddd we're walking! I know I can go on a bus...or drive...or..heck, even try to fly here..but I like taking the scenic route. You can really take it all in.."
Seamstress took a deep breath. "Ah. That is the SWEET smell of carbon dioxide! BREATHE IT INNN!"
The drones backed away a bit, looking alarmed.
"Well..I guess there isn't much carbon dioxide, is there? You guys make things more eco friendly." Seamstress said to the drones.
"Although..not many people like you, do they?"
Seamstress remembered watching TV the other day, and seeing yet another protest about how "drones were stealing everyone's jobs."
Seamstress didn't really have an opinion on that, she barely watched the News or cared about it...but she knew many people were passionate about this era of Human Vs Machine.
Other's opinions were valid...
"I've been working at Amazon all my life..and now..everything is just gone. How will I feed my kids?"
And some were..well..
"What if the drones come alive? What if they take over our brains? WHAT IF THIS IS THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE???"
The owner of Drontech, Vincent McCoy, had a different opinion as well...Seamstress didn't really know what to think of it.
"Of course I like drones. Who wouldn't like their own creation? But..really, I wouldn't have done this if it weren't for Alan Ludenberg. Alan? If you're watching...thank you."

Seamstress continued walking, strangers across the street waved to her, and she waved back.
"You guys can't follow me into school. They have tight security." Seamstress told the drones. "But don't worry. I'll be back in..eight hours or so! And then..we can walk and talk, and you can take all the pictures you want!"
A man passed by Seamstress, murmuring something under his breath.
"Ugh..these kids these days with their drones..."
Seamstress ignored him; she knew he was wrong. These weren't her drones..they were coming from her...admirers. Seamstress had quite the reputation because of her time machine, and she loathed it..and liked it at the same time.
Seamstress stopped at the school doors, and decided to put sunglasses on last minute. She turned to the drones, smiling.
"I'll be back." She said in a deep voice.
She walked into the school, and immediately noticed a large crowd around a holographic board...
"The casting call got announced today! I almost forgot. I need to see if I'm on there!" Seamstress thought.

Seamstress stood in the back of the crowd, and once students realized it was her, they stepped back so that she could look.
"Oh, come on. You really don't need to do that.." Seamstress chuckled.
More and more students stepped back, and Seamstress felt a little embarrassed.
"Perks of being famous, I guess." She thought.
She finally got a good look at the board, which said in big text...
"Casting for Avengers Musical..
Churchleigh Brooks..Black Widow.
Power Samson..Captain America."
"Come on..come on.." Seamstress thought.
"Marki Gallagher..Spiderman."
"NOOOOOOOO!" Seamstress thought. She knew deep inside that she wouldn't get the role of Spiderman, since she was a girl and Spiderman was well..a dude...but she really was looking forward to playing him.
She scanned through more of the list, and realized she didn't get..any role whatsoever. Her heart broke into a million pieces.
Seamstress walked away, annoyed that her Theater teacher couldn't see her talent.
"I would've casted you in a heartbeat." a student told her.
"...thanks."
She decided to just head to class, maybe she would get better luck in the next musical...

It was finally lunch, aka the best part of the day. She grabbed some of the cafeteria food, which was macaroni and cheese.
"Amariiii! Sit over here!" A dude yelled at her.
"Okkk!" Seamstress said. She had never spoken to that student like..ever...but I guess he wanted to sit with her.
Seamstress sat down with the group, all of them she had never talked to. She had spotted some in the hallways, though.
Everyone was looking at her, waiting for what she was going to say.
"..So. Can you believe I didn't get the role of Spider Man...? I mean..my audition tape was..perfect. I wore a shirt and everything..and I've watched all the movies. Do you guys think Marki Gallagher saw all the movies? No! He probably doesn't even know who Tobey Maguire is. SUCH A FAKE FAN! I mean seriously, when I was young I used to pretend to swing on the walls.."
The group of students all backed away, looking less interested in what she had to say now.
