Rafes p.o.v

I rode up the elevator up to JJ's office, barging through not bothering to knock. "Morning brother." I smiled sitting across from him at his desk, he looked up at me narrowing his eyes. Turning his attention back onto his work.

"Do you need something rafe?" "I need you to apologize to Charlotte." He laughed looking up at me, "And why do I need to do this?" "I don't like seeing her unhappy, and you are the reason she's unhappy." JJ rolled his eyes, leaning back in his chair. "Wow you must really like her." he smirked crossing his arms, "You do too I was the one who married her." His smirk turned into a scowl, now it was my turn to smirk. I know that was a low blow, but he hurt my girl and I'm not going to take that lightly.

"You're such a fucking ass." I chuckled softly, shrugging. "Why the hell are you giving her the cold shoulder anyways?" "Your lies, I couldn't stand talking to her knowing she doesn't know your true intentions." I clenched my jaw narrowing my eyes. "I'll tell her just fucking apologize, or I swear you don't want to see what I can do JJ."

At the office**

"Hi, baby!" I looked up from my work, seeing Sophia stride into my office, "What the hell are you doing here?" She pouted sitting on my desk, her tight red orange dress, rose when she sat. she moved her dirty blonde hair off her shoulders, swinging her legs. "We haven't talked in like forever!"

"I know, I'd like to keep it that way." she moved my work to the side, her legs were now in front of me, one leg over the other. I let out a deep breath, wishing she'd leave "Awe, what happened? I thought we were doing so well." I clenched my jaw staring into her blue eyes, I preferred charlottes green almost hazel eyes.

"Well change of plans." "You're going to divorce her, and get with me instead?" I rolled my eyes at her answer, "No I have no intentions of divorcing her, I do have intentions of cutting all ties with you." Her smile turned into a scowl, she growled moving off my desk now standing.
"You're fucking with me right?"

Her voice started to raise, I stood up making her step back still fuming. "No, I'm not, I've come to the conclusion that all we were doing was complete stupidity." She scoffed, glaring at me. Oh if looks could kill, I'd be a dead man.

"How dare you? Leave me for some little bitch!" I hit my fist on my desk, she jumped and fear washed over her eyes. "You will not speak about her in such a way!" She stood quiet, before a smirk appeared on her lips.

"She doesn't know does she?" I narrowed my eyes at her, she laughed like a mad man. "Wow your 'wife' doesn't know how much of a manipulator, and compulsive liar you are." Her smirk grew, why did I actually like her?

"Get out." I snarled, she crossed her arms, never letting that smirk fall. "Watch your back rafe, sometimes words just spill out." She walked out of my office, slamming the door. I wanted to scream out of anger, I sat down in my chair blowing out a breath. I sat in my chair calming myself, when someone barged through my office.

"Rafe!" I looked up at pope rolling my eyes, though feeling a smile creep up on me. "Why did Sophia just angrily walk out of here?" "Being Sophia that's why." He stared at me, seeming like he was about to ask more questions. "Don't you have work to do Haywood?" He scoffed, leaning back in the chair across from my desk.

"It's one of those days we don't have much work to do." Pope haywood, business partner, and long time best friend. He knows everything about me vise versa, he's much more laid back then I ever was. "Speaking of, trynna go out for drinks later?" "Can't." He laughed for a minute, then realized that I wasn't joking. "Oh you're serious!
What you got a girl to be with or something?" I rolled my eyes, getting up to pour myself a glass of bourbon.

Me and pope were always the guys who'd go out drinking, and in that same night bring a new girl home. That was until pope fell in love and got married to his wife Cleo, "Yes, and I promised her we'd watch a movie and I'd bring her food." I sat back into my seat, drinking my bourbon. "Who's this girl?"

"My wife." his smirk turned into a shocked expression, " Oh you're finally treating her like an actual person now?" Have I actually been treating her that bad in public? "I've always treated her like a person." Pope scoffed, rolling his eyes "Yeah and I love to eat black licorice." I wanted to narrow my eyes at him, but only a laugh escaped me.

"You actually like her or are you doing this for self gain again?" He hated the idea of me marrying Charlotte, just to get my great-grandfathers money. Even the fact of me not giving her a chance, or just going out with Sophia while married. Before I could reply, Cleo casually walked into my office.

"Oh good you both are here." I looked at her confused, not only on what she needed, but also why she just walked into my office like she owned the place. Technically she did, but I'm not going into that, "Why are you in my office?" she narrowed her eyes at me, with a small smile, "I needed to speak to my darling husband, and his jackass business partner." She smirked, I laughed finishing my drink.

"I feel the love, Cleo." I winked, she rolled her eyes sitting on popes lap, "You two going out for drinks?" "No he promised Charlotte, movie and dinner." he had a smug smirk, Cleo's eyes widened, "Oh she's a person now?" Oh, how I hate those two. "Ok I get it I treated her horribly, that's in the past, we are now moving on." They looked at each other laughing.

"Anyways onto more pressing matters." She started off but was cut off by someone knocking on the door, "Finally someone fucking knocks." I muttered, Cleo moved off pope opening the door, "Speaking of the devil, well angel I should say." She moved the door wider, letting her step inside.

I swear in this moment, my mood changed so drastically. I felt those damn butterflies burst in my stomach, and my heart swelled seeing her smile at me. Cleo closed the door behind Charlotte, I eyed her outfit seeing her high waisted blue jeans, and baby pink crop top.

"Hey princess." She blushed, and I couldn't help but smile "I uh brought you lunch, I didn't know you had company I would've brought more." "Oh no it's fine, we were just about to leave." Cleo smiled pulling her in for a hug,
"Don't forget about the banquet in 2 months." Cleo pulled pope from his seat, he pouted not wanting to get up.

"How could I forget Cleo, you've planted it into our brains." She smiled innocently, pulling pope out of the office "Oh, and I love your outfit, we need to go shopping before the banquet."

"Thank you, and we should I'd be excited for that." Cleo smiled, and was just about to speak again, but pope pulled her closing the door behind them.

Charlotte turned her attention back to me, smiling softly. "Thank you for bringing me lunch." She set the lunch -that was in a bag.

I gestured for her to sit on my lap, and she cautiously sat on my lap staring into my eyes. She draped her legs over mine resting her head on the crook of my neck, I could smell the beautiful smell of lavender she always gave off.
There are those beautiful green eyes I love so much.

"Did I tell you how beautiful you are today?" "No, I wouldn't mind hearing it again." she smirked, playing with my hair. I felt so calm when she'd do that, "You look so sexy in your suit." I smiled moving her closer to me, if that was even possible. My hand gripped her thigh, and I could see the faint blush that reached her cheeks. Our noses touched, I couldn't help but smile, what is she doing to me?

She moved towards me softly placing her lips on mine, she smiled into the kiss and in this moment there couldn't be anything as perfect as this. As perfect as her.
