2 years later:
The delicious aroma of freshly baked cookies, fresh out of the oven surrounded the kitchen. Meanwhile, on each of the four stove tops were different dishes cooking to perfection.
"Ma, Ma! Inga-va. Quick-a, quick-a!"
Sivaanya walked down in a salwaar with her hair neatly tied in a bun. She went closer and knocked Aravind on his head.
"Ethuku epdi kopadra? Sollu enna vennu!"
Aravind wrapped his hand around her waist and pulled her closer to his chest. She squished his cheeks and turned his face towards her and placed a tiny kiss. Aravind returned the gesture, placing a loud peck on her cheek.
"Apa, ena kovam! Taste paru-nu kopten. Unga anna vanthuruvan, avan so called business partner koda innum 30 minutes-la."
Sivaanya opened the lid to taste the sambar, when Aravind suddenly rushed out of the kitchen. She immediately followed him and began patting his back, trying to make him feel better while he continued vomiting.
She helped him clean up after himself and walked him to the living room, before leaving to their room to get her bag. After booking a cab to the nearest hospital, she immediately dialed her brother.
"Anna, na vettu key door mat kella vekuren! Nee vetla wait pannu, na Aravind-a doctor kitta kaatitu varen." she said, and saw Aravind who was gesturing that they can go later and gave him an intense glare.
She heard her brother's concerned reply to which she said, "enna achu-nu theriyala, oru four days-a ipdi vomit panran, romba light-headed-a iruku-nu solran. Doctor-nu sonna vendam-nu solran."
Aravind pouted after hearing her scolds and decided to remain quiet. Meanwhile, Sivaanya ended the call with her brother after seeing that their cab had arrived.
The couple entered the emergency ward and waited to see the doctor. Aravind began shaking his legs while Sivu held his hand and gave it a gentle press.
"Ethuku ipdi doctor pakka bayapura? It will be okay! Athan na iruken-la."
The couple were later called in to see the emergency doctor available after they had checked Aravind's basic vitals.
"Hi, what brings you here? What's the issue?"
"Doctor, ivaruku for the past 4 days vomiting and dizziness iruku. Plus, he has become much more sensitive to smells."
"Hmm, anything that he ate?"
"No doctor, usual meals than."
"I will make arrangements to get him admitted in the Gastrointestinal department. Nalliku morning doctor vanthu papanga. Meanwhile, we will run some tests and put him on IV to prevent dehydration. Nothing to worry but since he has been vomiting almost 4 times a day, it is better for him to get admitted."
While Aravind was taken to the room, Sivaanya went to pay for the charges. When she came back to the room, she saw Aravind looking at the needle and the room, feeling gloomy.
She went closer and cupped his cheeks, gently caressing them with her thumb.
"Ethuku ipdi baby mari panra!"
"Vettla jolly-a irunthen, ana ipo than sick-a feel agathu. Ipo than 4 bottle-la enoda ratham pochu!"
"Ama, romba jolly-a irutha! Breakfast, lunch, dinner-nu correct-a vomit edutha! Ipo quiet-a inga thungu."
"Vendam, neeyum-va pakathula!"
"Seri, na anna-ku call panitu, varen!"
"Ila, ne inga iru, enkoda! PLEASEE!!"
