I have been pacing the living room ever since I walked through the door. I searched the house, but I could not find Lottie anywhere. She said that she would be home after her nap and that was three hours ago. I have not received a text or call from her. I do not have a good feeling about this. My stomach is twisted up in knots, my mind jumbled around my girl, and I am here pacing. I should be out there looking for her, finding my goddess.

I have left her texts, voice mails, and still nothing. Either she shut her phone off or it is at zero percent, and either way it does not help in finding her. She could be in danger and I am losing my mind. I had to get to her some how and I bet Maddie would know where she is. Jogging to the door, I grabbed my hat placing it on top of my head, and opened the front door with the other.

Pulling up in front of mom's I could not remember my drive here. She lives close, but everything was a blur. My mind zoned in on finding my girl, the love of my life. I now know how Lucas felt when Maddie's ex showed up. A feeling like none other when your other half could be in danger. I will never forgive myself if anything happens to her. We just found each other and it all could be over in a blink of an eye. Your whole future and world gone in a second.

I shook the thought from my head as I opened the door leading into mom's. I could hear laughter and joy coming from the dinning room. I am a grown man and I do not think that I ever wanted to cry like I do right now. I have got to pull myself together for Lottie. I need to be her rock and her hero. I am a better man cause of that woman and I will fight for her. Any battle she faces is now my battle.

I could not waste anymore time. I took off running straight to my family; I needed them more than ever right now. Skidding to a stop right next to Maddie, my breathing heavy and sallow. I tried catching my breath as everyone stared at me with wide eyes. I must be a sight right now. They all probably think that I am crazy or something and they would be right. I feel like a wild crazy caveman that just lost his woman.

"What's wrong? Where is Lottie?" Maddie asked while I tried to recover.

"I don't know. I was hoping you could tell me that."

"I saw her about three hours ago at her house. She said she was going back to your place. That's where I thought she went. What's going on." Maddie said with worry laced into her voice.

"What is going on here?" mom questioned.

"Charley has been sick and really tired. So, she went to her house in town to get some sleep before she drove all the way out here." She explained as we all listened.

"So, she went back to her house knowing that someone left her a threatening message?" Lucas reviewed.

"She has a lot going on right now, give her a break. She needed me and Bella and neither of us was thinking about that." Maddie defended her best friends. Her hands on her hips. The worry is still there in her eyes.

"Does she know why she is sick?" I asked.

"She does, and no I will not tell you. This is something that she needs to tell you herself."

"Okay, I will head th.." My sentence was cut of by the blaring ring tone of my phone. By Lottie's ring tone. Taking it from my pocket and fumbling with it until I swiped the screen to answer her call.

"Hello, Lottie." My voice was drowned out by a high pitch scream and loud thud. My hands shaking, mouth going dry, and sweat formed on the back of my neck. "Lottie!"

"Y'all go." Maddie urged us. "Go, Lottie needs you."

"Let's go. I'll call nine-one-one on the way." Lucas said.
