Author's pov:
Exhaustion tugged at Taehyung's muscles as he finally returned to his hotel room. the fifth day of fashion show had been a whirlwind, a dazzling display of lights and energy. He was grateful for Yeonjun, Bang Chan, and Wonho's constant presence; their camaraderie a welcome buffer against the overwhelming nature of the event.
A smile bloomed on his face as he saw Jeongguk's message, a picture of him attached with the sweetest caption:
"How come I become so lucky to have an angel like you? Look at you, you are so damn beautiful."
A soft reply left his fingers, even though he knew Jeongguk wouldn't receive it until morning.
The door of his room knocked before he could settle in further, the unexpected sound making him jump. He hurried to the door, hoping it was Yeonjun, but was surprised to see Park Bogum standing there.
"Bogum-hyung?" Taehyung uttered, blinking in disbelief.
Clad in a casual white t-shirt and jeans, Bogum exuded a relaxed charm. "Hi," he greeted hesitantly. "Did I disturb you?"
Taehyung shook his head, a gentle smile playing on his lips. "Of course not. What brings you here?"
"Well," Bogum started, scratching the side of his temple, "I was actually heading to the Louvre museum. I know you have a great interest in art, and... I'll be alone. It might be more enjoyable with you around."
Taehyung's heart fluttered at the invitation. exploring the Louvre certainly tempting. But a niggling feeling of unease wouldn't let go. he glanced down at his phone, the memory of Jeongguk's sweet message still fresh, he is missing his man so much---that is unbearable, strolling around the city might help him to subside his pain a bit, though he really wanted to explore the city with jeongguk, but he wants no one but jeongguk.
"That's thoughtful of you. Actually," he paused, debating his response, "Jeongguk and I were planning on visiting the Louvre together when we would come here together."
He wasn't sure if mentioning Jeongguk was the best idea, but honesty felt important. besides, maybe Bogum would understand.
bogum's smile faltered slightly, a hint of disappointment flickering across his eyes. "Oh, I see," he replied, his voice neutral. "Well, of course. It will be a romantic trip for you two. Completely understandable."
Taehyung felt a surge of warmth at the mention of "romantic trip." He missed Jeongguk terribly, and the prospect of exploring the Louvre with him sent a thrill through him.
"But," Bogum continued, "Jeongguk isn't here yet, is he? And honestly, museums can be more enjoyable with a guide like me, especially when either of us has no company?" He raised an eyebrow playfully. "So, what do you say?"
Taehyung's heart sank, the yearning for Jeongguk overshadowed everything. He craved Jeongguk's presence, the familiar warmth, the shared laughter that would turn exploring the Louvre into an unforgettable adventure. He was about to voice his polite refusal when fate, in the form of Yeonjun, intervened.
"No---i"
The opposite room door swung open, revealing Yeonjun with an impish grin on his face.
"No buts, hyung!" he declared, seemingly oblivious to the entire conversation and walked to him.
"Bogum-hyung needs company, and frankly, hyung, you would just cry and mope around the room all night without any Louvre adventure, by the way bogum hyung would mind if bang chan i would join---and of course Wonho hyung too ?" he nudged Taehyung playfully, completely missing the murderous glint in his brother's eyes.
