,,Damn girl your brother is... something!", Angelica giggled the next day in school, when they were walking down the hallway to Flos locker. ,,Ha ha! Anthony is just stupid. Our mom doesn't care if I drink or smoke or whatever. So why does he do then?", Flo rolled her eyes. ,,Wait, your mom gives you permission to smoke? That doesn't sound like she cares about your health!", Angelica frowns, they arrived at Flos locker.
She puts her books in it while talking to her friend, ,,Well its not like she doesn't care. She just always says "If I forbid it, youll do it secretly" so she doesn't forbid me anything. She just tells me to be careful." Angelica nods. Jeremiah pops up besides them and pushes his elbow in Flos back, ,,Hey Flo! Angelica..." He grins at her. Angelica gives him a bitter face, ,,Oh look who it is! The "I wont give her too much" guy!"
,,Haha come on, she had fun! And nothing happened, right?!", he looked at Flo, who nodded. ,,Hey are you eating lunch with us again? Mariam is making pizza today!", he asks. Flo gets out a brown paperbag out of her locker and closes the door. ,,Sorry guys, I got my own lunch with me today! My mom made me my favourite sandwich. I wanted to go to the school library to look for a book about how to get rid of an annoying older brother!", she laughs.
Angelica chuckles. ,,Alright, see you later in history!", she smiled and left, togheter with Jeremiah. Flo went to the library. She asked the librarian if they got a book about psychologie for siblings and she showed here a bunch of books about this exact topic. When Flo was happy with her find she left the library with three books in her arms, on her way to look for a place where she could read the books.
She was looking at one of the bookcovers when she was going up some stairs and didnt look what was going on in front of her. Since it was lunchtime, there shouldn't be people running around here, she thought. Suddenly someone bumped into her, which made her fall on the stairs. Luckily she was able to hold on to the railing after she fell down five stairs already. The books fell down on the floor. God, hopefully they weren't broken!
,,Hey, cant you watch out where youre going?!", Flo pulled herself up again and looked at the persons face afterwards. But it wasn't just one person. They were three. ,,Hahaa yes stickboney, cant you watch out?!", a guy of them laughed. The other one joined, ,,Yes toothpick, watch out where you're going!" Flo was terrible sorry for the third guy, which, apparently, was the guy with the blue selfmade school pullover, Onceler. And the two jerks that made fun of him were that two stupud twins. They went past them down the stairs, laughing and grunting.
,,Sorry about that... I didnt see you.", Onceler said with a low voice. He walked dowen the stairs, picked up the books and came back up the stairs to give them to her. ,,Sorry again...", he murmured and rushed down the stairs and out of the school. Flo looked after him. He talked! To her! Flo decided to follow him. She was sure he would be alone again. She didn't want him to be all alone again. She went through the doors and the sunlight hit her face. She looked for him and saw him sitting down under that same tree as yesterday.
Just today he didnt have his guitar with him. Just his backpack. He opened it and searched for his lunch, as it seemed. Flo made her way over to him. The cold of the shadow fromthe tree was pleasant. ,,Hey. Mind if I sit beside you?", she asked. He looked at her in surprise, not saying a word. It was an awkward silence between them, ,,Dont worry, I'm not mad at you for running into me.", she smiled at him. He still just looked at her. Then he managed to mumbled a 'yeahsit down'.
She smiled and sat down beside him. He didn't know what to do, if he was honest. Nobody ever wanted to sit next to him for lunch! Flo put her backpack beside her on the floor and got out her lunchbag. Onceler got out a paperbag and started unwrapping his lunch. He sighned at the sight of a unlovely made cheese sandwich, which he got with him every single day. He bit into it listlessly and cheewed. ,,My name's Flo by the way!", she smiled at the boy. He looked at her, without as clue what to say. He swallowed the piece of bread, ,,Onceler...".
,,May I ask why you are eating alone?", Flo asked. Onceler putted down his sandwich and thoought of an answer. But he couldn't think of a better answer than ,,I dont really have someone to eat with." Oh. So he really doesnt have friends. Thats sad. Flo didnt know how to react to that, so she just lead the conversation to something else, ,,I like your pullover by the way! Did you made it yourself?" Oncelers cheeks started to burn a bit. ,,Yeah... I sewed it.", he murmured, scared of being laughed at.
,,Wow thats so cool! And it looks so professionally done!", Flo slides forwards a little, to take a closer look at the lovely sewed seam. ,,Thanks... not many people find it as interesting as you do. They rather find it... ridiculous.", Onceler continued to eat his sandwich. ,,Oh", Flo slided a bit away. They ate their lunches in silent until suddenly Onceler broke the silence, ,,Sorry again for bumping into you. I hope I didn't hurt you."
Flo smiled, ,,Noo seriously its fine! Im not mad at you for that. And I#m good, so don't worry." The boy smiled a little tiny bit. But it was enough for Flo to notice. It made her happy to see him smile for once. They finished their lunch. Flo lied down on the grass and enjoyed the fresh wind going through her hair and over her face. Eventually the bell rang and both of them stood up. Onceler left the grass area faster than Flo. Flo called after him, ,,See you later!". But he just answered with a quick wave and rushed into the building.
What a strange guy. But Flo wanted to be friends with him so bad.
