After waking up and seeing a ceiling fan turning, you turned around and felt your face going into something soft. Opening your eyes, you looked around yourself and found a naked Shizuka sleeping next to you.

She slowly woke up and looked at you.
"Shizuka?"
She wrapped her arms around you and pulled yourself closer into her.
Shizuka: "Morning, Y/N."
"Morning. Was last night real?"
Shizuka: "Yeah. You were amazing."
"A little embarrassing to hear that out loud. I've never done anything like that before."
Shizuka: "Well, you had more skills than you thought."
"Could we put a pin in this topic?"
Shizuka: "Sure."
She brushed your hair with her, and you continued to feel her warmth.
"Can we stay in bed a bit longer?"
Shizuka: "Of course."
You and Shizuka fell back asleep, and hours later, the both of you woke back up, put your clothes on and left the room. You went around the settlement and saw everyone working to help expand it.
"At least everyone managed to get their bearings," you said to Shizuka. "Not that things got much better."
Shizuka: "It was even worse when the pandemic began. Everything, everywhere was quickly overrun by 'Them'."
The two of you kept on walking and eventually came across an empty café.
Shizuka: "Sit. I'll see what's in here."
You sat at a table as Shizuka made some tea and brought two cups to the table.
Shizuka: "So, when did you first notice your gift?"
"Around the first month of when everyone I met started to either become dead or infected. I was hiding in a store with my parents and sister when "They" started to surround the place. I just started saying "go away, leave us alone" and after a minute "They" did what I said, but I didn't think it was legit and I kept panicking every time we were in that situation. Then when I wanted to join my family, they didn't attack me. No matter how much noise I made. After that I started testing it and saw that it was the real deal. And thus began a year of not being attacked by "Them". I do wonder if there are others out there like me."
Shizuka: "If there are, then I only hope that they're using it to try and help others."
She held your hand as you cried a little.
"Sorry. I know it's been a few months and what we did last night meant a lot to me, but it's still hard to get used to it after being alone for a year with no one for company except "Them". I actually lost a bit of my mind and tried to have a conversation with one."
Shizuka laughed a little.
Shizuka: "That would be interesting."
You and Shizuka talked amongst each other for a few more minutes and enjoyed your conversation.
"I'm happy to have met you and the others."
Shizuka sat next to you and pulled yourself into her chest.
