You just woke up, albeit slowly. Your back hurts from sleeping on hard metal, again you think it’s that, but you aren’t sure. You look a bit to the side and there’s another person here. They look pretty similar to the Dave guy. Maybe his sister..? Neither of them has noticed you yet. Quietly, you sit up, still unnoticed by the two of them. But, you’re not paying attention to their conversation, preferring not to eavesdrop. However, you are drawn to the other person, they look so familiar to you.

You think they talk for 5 more minutes before one of them notices you, but they just stop mid-conversation and stare. You don’t think they know what to say, and, to be honest, neither do you. The staring is getting a bit uncomfortable though. The girl walks over to you and holds out her hand. You take it and she helps you to your feel.

“You have the same name as her dead cat,” Dave says out of the blue, both of you stare at him. You with confusion and her with an unamused glare, “What? It was going to come up eventually and the silence was getting way too awkward.” The girl rolled her eyes and turned back to you.

“I’m Rose, by the way, and your Jaspers?” She asks, putting on a more calm expression. You nod, though her name strikes you oddly.

“Yes, and you have the name of my cat as well, although she is alive,” you respond, not particularly looking at her. Eye contact makes you uncomfortable.

“That’s a very interesting coincidence, but, I suppose Rose could be a pretty common name for animals.” She notes, also looking to the side, “If it is alright, may I ask your last name?”

You raise an eyebrow, “Odd question, but, Lalonde,” You don’t particularly know why you would tell a stranger your last name, but you don’t think they have any need to use it against you. Plus you feel an odd trust for this Rose lady. However, she seemed pretty shocked by your response.

“Oh, that’s… Very interesting... Hm.” Rose looks off to the side but notices your confusion, you think, “We share the same last name.” She says whilst presumably lost in thought. Dave also seems shocked at this, but you can’t tell behind the sunglasses.

“Let’s just go with coincidence again...” You respond finally, looking perplexed. Rose nods and Dave shrugs. Maybe neither of them are very talkative right now. The silence begins to get awkward so you just walk around the odd platform you’re on. None of the two acknowledge it though.

At about your 3rd or 4th time walking around the circular platform, you realized it looked a bit like a disc. You were walking on a large disc, totally not weird at all. You could hear Dave and Rose talking again, but since they weren’t talking to you, you didn’t pay much attention. However, they were beginning to look rather nervous, Rose occasionally looking at you.

“Jaspers?” She asks when you walk by them again, you stop and look at her, “Where... Are you from..?” She sounded very unsure of the question.

“As in... State or..?” You’re clearly confused, “New York..?” Rose looks uncomfortable, or maybe even uncertain.

“Where in New York.” Rose said it as if it was a statement instead of a question, “Rainbow Falls?” She looked very concerned by the potential answer.

“Yes..?” Now you were nervous, you don’t even know why you told her that. Is it the wrong answer? You know it wasn’t. Wait, how did she know..?

“There are a bit too many similarities between us for it to be a coincidence, but, it leaves so many questions. Mainly, how in the world are you even here?”

“I don’t know? A portal?” You shrug.

“Well obviously, but, why here? Someone had to have created it?” Rose seemed to just be talking now, maybe she was more talkative than you thought. She was thinking out loud right now, but you were pretty much ignoring her. She talked too quietly for you to listen blindly anyway.

“Maybe we could tell by your friends..?” She says more loudly, looking at you again. You looked uncomfortable, you didn’t want to share your friends' information with these people who are basically strangers. You don’t think either of the two people picked up on the message. You also almost forgot Dave was here until he talked again.

“Oh my god this kid doesn’t have friends, look at his face,” Dave said, looking as if he was holding back a laugh, and also looking away. You looked unamused.

“I have friends, I’m just unsure if they want me to share their personal information with strangers.” You respond after a bit, trying to keep a somewhat formal wording for no reason in particular.

“Dude, chill, we're not predators, we're just trying to figure out where the fvck you’re from. Which is earth from the fact you said you live in New York of all places.” Dave spoke up for once, and now you realize that when he talks, he doesn’t stop, “I mean like, New York? That place isn’t even remembered for anything good. Kinda sucks man.”

“Oh my god shut up.” You say harshly, does he do this all the time? “What do you even want to know about my friends? Why are they important to this situation?”

Rose sighed, “I could explain how we’ve come to this conclusion, but that would take a while, so I’d prefer not to and just get to the point.” She explained. That made no sense to you but you don’t really want to hear someone drone on about how your friends relate to this situation you’re all trying to solve. You nod, “Okay, good, thank you. Now, please just all we need to know is their names. Is that alright?”

“I guess..? Um, hm..” You don’t know why you’re taking your time to think about this. But you do want to leave wherever you are, “Bec…Cal… and Quinn..?” Why you’re acting like there’s a wrong answer to this question is beyond you. Dave giggled, why?

“Dude Cal is a crazy name-” He said quickly, both you and Rose looked at him like he was diseased, “Cause, you know, puppet Cal.”

“That was horrible, David,” Rose responded, a tone of unamusement in her voice, “The only one that plausibly sounds familiar is Bec, who shares a name with our friend's god dog that she somehow fused with.”

You looked even more confused, how in the world could someone fuse with anything? Let alone a dog, a god dog, whatever that meant. “Okay, what now? I cannot possibly guess how that helped in any way.”

“I wanted to see if your friends had any similarities to mine as you do to me. Maybe there are, but I don’t want to pry in on your friend’s lives.”

“Oh, well, yes that makes sense,” You said, taking a moment to think on this, “Is there something else that would possibly help?”

“I don’t think, but, I feel as if more people may start appearing. Here or maybe on one of the other planets.” Rose mused, looking up at the ‘sky’, “Maybe I need to go back Lolar,”

“You just… travel between planets..?” You ask, looking bewildered. It’s odd to you how casually she talks about this. You certainly don’t know anything about space travel.

“Oh sh*t dude, yeah. We do that stuff all the time, travelling between weird planets like we on the interplanitary train to awesomeness and also headaches from how bright Lolar is,” Dave has started ranting again, you have got to tune him out. Rose is occasionally responding back, but you’ve already taken this as pointless. You make an effort for it to look like you’re definitely paying attention but you’re just zoned out.
