We arrive to his house and he says "you can come inside of my house, I'll go get Elijah so him and bill can watch a movie while you can chill in my room or the guest room." "oh are you sure Tom?" "yeah of course!" "awhhh your so kind!" I say unbuckling the seat belt and getting up to hug him. Tom wraps his hands around my waist, laying his head on my head and as I open my eyes i see Elijah staring at me, pissed off. "Really?.." Elijah yells at me, I immediately walk over to Elijah and try to talk to him. "Elijah please just listen to me." "What is there to listen about Alice! You're probably dating him!" "Elijah let me speak" "what was he doing this morning, that he was in our house. I wanna know the fucking truth Anastasia." Elijah says walking inside slowly, I mumble "already did " Elijah looks up at me and says "What was that?" "Nothing." "No repeat what you said." " I said NOTHING." "smartass" "dip shit"

Elijah slams the door and I walk back over to Tom wiping a tear from my face. Tom looks at me confused and concerned and asks who's Jayden, "I'll explain it to you inside." I say with my voice trembling.

Tom lets me in and he leads me to his room and drops my backpack off at the front of his door. I go to sit onto his bed and Tom takes off his shirt and puts on his tank top.

"So who's Jayden?" Tom says a bit confused
"Jayden is my, well ex boyfriend who was in a gang and nearly got me killed." I said very quietly
"What do you mean 'nearly got you killed'" Tom said a bit concerned
"It was a year ago and we were hanging out at the park, I had knew he was in a gang but I didn't realize what danger he had put me in by being out in public cause he was wanted by many other gangs. We were just talking until I see 5 guys who look about all 25 years old or older walking up to me and Jayden, He immediately gets up from the bench and grabs me with him and I ask him what's happening then I heard one of the guys saying 'get your ass over here little boy and bring your girl too.' Jayden whispers to me that he's sorry and tells me to start running then he brought out his gun and started to shoot. I was already by the end of the park and that's when I saw his body laying there and the group of guys leaving, and I broke down in tears and ran back without even thinking towards his body and he was still breathing but he died in my arms. Nobody came to the scene, only elijah. I didn't even have my phone on me and Jayden's was shot so there was no way for me to get any ambulances or police over, Elijah was with his friend Lucas and they were riding their bikes to the park and that's when Elijah pulled up to where I was not knowing it was me and when he looked up he saw the blood all over me and he was panicking asking if I was okay and what had happened. " I said while being on the verge of tears and breaking down.

"I regret not bringing my phone and just leaving him there. I regret it so much but he was already dead. When I had walked inside my house my dad was sober for once and he had seen the blood on me and my mascara smeared all over my face from crying, that was one of two times my dad actually comforted me and not yelled at me or do some stupid shit."

I didn't even realize I was crying until I wiped my face and I felt the tears. Tom had wiped one of the tears away and hugged me and made sure I was okay after telling him about Jayden. "Are you okay after saying that?" Tom says so softly, "yeah, it's just hard for me to say without even crying and I didn't even notice that I was crying, but it's something I don't really talk about Jayden cause it's a bit blurred from my mind." I say a bit shaky but calm

Bill walks into Tom's room and notices that I was crying "hey Alice and Tom?" "yeah?" me and Tom say the same time. "Wanna go get something to eat? and does Elijah wanna come with?" "yeah can we go in a bit cause im gonna have to go get Elijah and he's pretty pissed at me right now.." "oh shit what happened?" "he got pissy with me cause I hugged Tom. We had a little screaming match outside not too long ago." "So that's what I heard earlier.." "yeah.." "well take all the time you need and let us know if he wants to!" "Alright thank you so much bill!" "Yeah of course!" 

Bill walks out of the room and Tom says "so are you gonna go talk to Elijah?" "Yeah.. wanna come with?" "I'm scared this kid may do something crazy!" "True. Well I'll be back in a few and I'll let you and bill know." 

I head over to my house and when I open the door I see Elijah playing with his friend, "what the fuck do you want alice." "uhm don't be rude, I came here to fucking ask you if you wanted to come with me, bill, and Tom to go get something to eat." "What did Tom not get enough after he ate your inside earlier?" Elijah says with an attitude.

His friend who had water in his mouth spit it out and was laughing hard, I stare at him like I'm about to murder him. "Hey Micah, I think it's best for you to leave cause I'm about to fucking kill Elijah right now." "Yeah I think it's best for me too, good luck Eli." Micha says in a very scared tone. 

Once Micha had left Elijah said "what your embarrassed?" "I'm fucking done with you Elijah, why the fuck are you so pissed that I fucking hugged him." "Cause I don't think he's good for you." "Okay so your gonna fucking say what you said 3 minutes ago INFRONT of your fucking friend and embarrass me and make me look like some whore?" "You're not a whore." "Congratulations you made me seem like one, retard." "Listen to me Alice I don't have a good feeling about Tom, he seems sketchy." "You are literally my 9 year old brother. Maybe if you were older then me I'd listen-" Elijah slaps me in the face and yells out "it's not getting into your fucking head that I have a bad feeling about Tom, and the last time I've said that with your little friend Ivan and Jayden I was correct. What makes Tom different."

"One, you do not fucking slap me like that and if you ever do I swear to god I will throw your bike at your head. Got it? Two, what makes Tom different is that he actually cares about me and when me and dad had that fight 3 days ago, Tom and bill are the reason why I'm still alive. He comforted me when dad did what he fucking did, you may not like him at all but I do not care cause I love him." I started to yell but realizing what I had said I smack my hand towards my mouth.

Elijah looks a bit guilty and says "well, you're not wrong about how him and bill basically saved you from dad and he did comfort you. I just really want you to be careful, please for me Anastasia." Elijah says pleading for me to be careful and not trying to get almost killed like last time. "Elijah yes I am careful, even before that incident you knew I'm always careful just those times I wasn't and it nearly got me killed and someone killed but you know how careful I am so you don't have to worry, okay?" "okay, and I'm sorry for being a dick to you.." "it's okay bubba you were just mad and annoyed with me. Let's just try not argue this bad and about this okay?" "Okay and is that offer of us getting food still up?" "Yes of course come on now."
