It was a warmer September night, and the shift was over, so Aiden went on to visit his girlfriend, Ashlyn.

He sneaked out and went to go visit her in some sweatpants and a hoodie.

He was greeted nicely by Ashlyn, and they cuddled till she started feeling sleepy.

"Ash, I have to go,"

She clung on and shoved her face in his chest.

"..noooo..."

She groaned.
Aiden let out a soft laugh as he rubbed her head.

"Hun, I really need to go,"

He said, carefully moving her and getting up from her bed.

She got up too and went to the window to unlock it so Aiden could leave.

Before Aiden left, they gave each other a few last kisses goodnight, and Aiden left to his house.

He sprinted and sneaked back in through the window he left in.

He thought he got away with it, but there they were. His parents stood in front of him.

"Mom! Dad! Um..-"

He greeted them awkwardly.

"Aiden, we know what you have been doing for the last month. But we don't know where you have been going. Care to tell us?"

His mom asked, raising a brow.

Aiden let out a huff he had been holding in for a while.

"To...uhm... Ashlyn, she's my girlfriend now."

He said, barely letting those words out

"Wait... she's your girlfriend..? Since when?"

His father asked.

"Well, since I started sneaking out. We figured we would try it out, and it has been going well, so every time she can't sleep, I go visit her to try and relax her.
Yknow, make her feel sleepy."

Aiden rubbed the back of his neck before starting to fiddle around with the hem of his sleeve.

The silence stayed a bit.
But then Aidens' mom started speaking..

"Listen, sweetie, we're both glad that that you have a girlfriend and friends but uh... why her..?"

Aidens' face turned cold, and he paused for a minute.

"Care to explain what you mean by that? Mother?"

He said there, his cold and pissed off gaze piercing their souls.

"Listen, honey, Ashlyn is great and all, but she has some issues.. like, she's sensitive to sounds and au-"

"Don't you dare try and bring it up. I love her."

He stopped his mom from talking.

"All you guys ever do is look for flaws! You look for the imperfections! Like you did to me! It's my childhood all over AGAIN! Perfect, perfect, perfect, AND PERFECT. IM SO SICK AND TIRED OF YOU GUYS JUDGING EVERYTHING. IT'S NOT HER FAULT SHE HAS ISSUES. SHE CANT CONTROL THEM. IM SURE THAT IF SHE DID SHE WOULD'VE NOT HAVE THEM AT ALL."

Aiden snapped at them
His dad got pissed a bit.

"WE JUST WANT WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU!"

his father snapped back.

"You? You want what's best for me? Does 'the best for me' mean forcing me to be perfect for 15 years of my fucking life..?"

Aiden was so annoyed.
