Summer time kisses

𝐒𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧

Miliani had her AirPods in her ears blasting a mix of frank ocean, Olivia Rodrigo, so random rap music. This was her second summer back after her parents died last summer she had sat in her room all summer. But this summer she decided she was gonna be the party girl and have a lot of fun what did she have left to live for anyway.

"Millie we are almost the gas station" laurel said but miliani didn't hear her till laurel shook her. "Sorry i was listening to music, what did you day" miliani said "we are almost the gas station" laurel repeated "oh ok" miliani replied.

Once they got to the gas station miliani ran to the bathroom then she went into the store and grabbed a Dr Pepper and her favorite candy sour punch straws. Her and belly walked up to the counter and the guy looked at them up and down. "Are yall going to the bon fire tonight" the boy asked miliani had remember Jeremiah messaging her and asking her to go. "I will be but I don't know about her" miliani replied. Belly stayed as laurel came up but miliani went out to the car.

After a 30 minute ride they finally pulled into the driveway. Belly and miliani stayed in the car for a minute then belly got out and she hugged Jeremiah just a normal hug. Then miliani took a deep breath and got out the car Jeremiah came up and hugged her and spined her around. She started laughing and he set her down. "I missed you Mila" Jeremiah said miliani loved that nickname because Jeremiah was the only one that could call her that. "Aw I missed you to Jerry" miliani said Jerry was the nickname only miliani could use for it they told everybody only they could call each other Mila and Jerry and it stuck.

After Jeremiah went and talked to Steven miliani saw Susannah and she walked up to her. "oh liani you have grown so much" Susannah said last summer miliani had never dyed her hair, she always wore braid and never styled her natural hair and she didn't wear make up. "Thank you and as always you look beautiful" miliani said "well you definitely have grown up" Susannah said. This summer miliani had Carmel highlights, she styled her hair and no more braces.

Out the corner of her eye she saw Conrad talking to belly. Belly had changed to it wasn't just miliani some could say they had there glow up together and well they kinda did. "I don't know about yall but I think it's time...." Jeremiah started "bellyflop" Steven, Jeremiah and miliani said together they loved doing this every summer. Belly tried to run but Conrad caught her Jeremiah and miliani had her legs and Conrad and Steven had her arms. "1,2,3" they all counted then threw her in. After they laughed and talked for a minute miliani went to her room to unpack.

When she walked into her room she took a deep breath. She looked around at her light blue comforter with white shells on it then at the turtle stuff animal that was on her vanity. She walked over and picked it up her and Jeremiah had matching ones his was Mr shells and hers was Mrs. Shells. "Aw Mrs. Shells i still have Mr. Shells" Jeremiah said laying on her bed "what do you want Jerry" miliani said "why do you suppose I want something Mila" Jeremiah said "because you not hanging out with your brother or Steven and you never bother me the first day" miliani said. "Well I want to swim please come with me" Jeremiah said "ok get out so I can't change" miliani said and Jeremiah got up and out fast.

Miliani put in her pink bikini with hibiscus white flowers on it. She grabbed a towel then walked out the side door Jeremiah looked at her for her minute. "What's with the staring Jerry" miliani asked "what I wasn't staring" Jeremiah replied "sure you weren't" miliani said as she started walking down the path to the beach. "So are we still going to the bonfire tonight" she asked "if you want to" Jeremiah replied "I do this summer is gonna be a party" miliani said.

Once they got to the edge of the beach they stopped and looked out. "Wanna race" Jeremiah asked "what no way your legs are longer and your faster now" miliani said then took off running "oh you little" jere said then run after miliani they both reached the water and Jeremiah grabbed miliani and threw her under. They played for a little then went back up and went to their rooms.

Everyone was sat down at dinner. Miliani was across from Jeremiah and belly was beside her. "Steven I swear if you don't put that phone away" Laurel said "we just wanna see your beautiful faces" Susannah said. But Steven kept looking at his phone "bro, Steven get off your phone" Jeremiah said. Then Jeremiah grabbed Steven's phone and threw it in the phone box. "Ok ok we get you've been working out" Steven said "your just jealous Jeremiah has a better body then you" belly replied. Miliani didn't know why but when belly noticed Jere's body it made her mad or
Jealous but she didn't like the feeling. "Now a days it about the lean look to fit into tailored suits" Steven said "tailored suit" Conrad questioned this was the first time he had spoke since dinner started.

Steven wanted to change the conversation so he bought up football. "When are you leaving for training camp man" Steven asked "he's not he quit football"Jeremiah said then miliani looked at Conrad was a weird look. "really man I would kill to play college ball" Steven said "he could always change his mind" Susannah said "well I'm not going to" Conrad said. "Well if your not doing football then what are you doing this summer" Laurel asked "oh man you could work at the club with me and jere" Steven said "wait y'all are working this summer" belly asked "yea Jere's a lifeguard and I'm a waiter" Steven replied. Miliani gave Jeremiah a knowing look when Steven said he was gonna be a life guard.

After dinner miliani went to her room to get ready for the bonfire she put a swimsuit on under her baby blue crop top that had the cousins logo on it. She put on some makeup just mascara a little of blush and highlighter and lipgloss. She heard a knock on her door "come in" she said "hey Mila almost ready" Jeremiah asked coming into the room and closing the door behind him. "Almost can you believe belly's thinking out being a Deb" miliani said laughing. "Yeah i know it's crazy" Jeremiah said "ok im ready let's go" miliani said.
