A lone girl goes down to a local donut shop with her mom and friend. She feels weird and awkward because she knows that she spaced out a lot till she meets a guy who she falls for and realizes his problems. She doesn't mind them, just happy someone in her own state not far away. Her friend tries to hook the two up along with the son's mother. She is not sure what to do but she goes out and talks with him, feeling comfortable and relaxed around him. She laughs, smiles but all she wants to do is hide from the world because she knows deep inside they can never be one. She learns about his one health issue and it spooks her a bit but she is willing to be friends with the guy and hopefully just that. When the next day falls around she takes a deep breath and texts him. Two talk and talk off. She flirts a little but apologizes and hates that she is. She knows what she wants but restrains herself because she knows that no matter what a guy like him is way out of her league for sure and his small health issues that do spook her a lot. She hides her fear and prays their friendship can grow. Because otherwise she may distance herself from him...only she really doesn't want to.
