______________________________________Azka had just completed her Isha prayer and stood by the window, letting the cool breeze kiss her face. She closed her eyes, feeling the soft, gentle touch of the wind as it played with the baby hairs on her forehead. Her mind drifted back to the events of the day at the hospital, and she reflected on how time changes everything. She knew she had to become stronger. Just as she was lost in her thoughts, she felt a small tug on her dupatta. Smiling, she opened her eyes to see her niece, Minha, standing there with two fresh and beautiful flowers in her tiny hands.
Just then, Mirha entered the room, clutching a dried, broken flower with petals that were barely hanging on. Azka noticed the upset look on her face.
"Mirha? Kya hua meri jaan? Idhar aao, mere paas baitho," Azka said gently, beckoning her closer.
Mirha walked over but sat a little distance away, her face still pouting. "Phuphu, she took my flower... A-ammi gave it to me, and she snatched my fresh flower," Mirha complained, her voice trembling as she began to hiccup and cry loudly, rubbing her eyes with her small hands before throwing the broken flower on the floor.
Azka bent down to her level and gently wiped her tears with the corner of her dupatta. "Main aapke liye naye fresh flowers laaungi, okay?" she said with a comforting smile. Mirha stopped crying and hugged her phuphu tightly.
"Minha, buri baat. Jaake aapi se maafi maango," Azka said, but Minha shook her head, refusing.
"Okay, tum dono yahaan aao, ek kahani sunaati hoon..." Azka began. "Once upon a time, there was a princess who loved dried flowers, even when their petals were almost falling off."
"Kyun? Usko waise dry flowers kyun pasand thay, Phuphu?" Mirha interrupted curiously.
"Kyunke woh phool uss shehzaadi ko unke ammi ne diye thay..."
Both girls were now fully engrossed in the story.
"Kya woh dusron ke diye phool bhi aise hi pasand karti thi?" Mirha asked.
"Yes... Aapko pata hai, Mirha, kabhi bhi cheezon ki value karni chahiye, chahe wo cheez ya insaan naya ho ya purana, uski ehmiyat kam nahi hoti... Har cheez ki kadar karni chahiye, okay?" Azka explained, her tone gentle but firm.
"Example?" Mirha asked, tilting her head to the side.
"Um, jaise... kya aapke ammi ka aapke upar pyaar kabhi kam hua jab aapne kam marks laaye? Nahi na..." Mirha shooked her head.
"Sorry, Mirha aapi," Minha said, holding her ears in a cute gesture. Mirha smiled, hugged her sister, and picked up the flower she had thrown away. The two began playing together again.
"Izka phuphu, woh princess kaun thi?" Mirha asked suddenly, her curiosity piqued.
"Ummm..." Azka hesitated, trying to come up with an answer for the story she had just made up.
"Woh shehzaadi aapki phuphu hai... jisse sukhay flowers de do toh bhi khush ho jaati hain," came Zunaisha's voice as she entered the room with a playful grin.
"Aap kab aaye?" Azka asked, surprised.
"Bas 5 minute pehle. Waise, yeh files tumhe wapas karni thi, aur main chupkar kahani sun rahi thi," Zunaisha replied, her smile growing.
