"Sar-e-Duniya hou, Sar-e-Falak hou, Humein intezaar qubool hai
Woh kabhi milein, woh kahin milein,
Woh kabhi sahi, woh kahin sahi....
Na hou, unpe jo mera bas nahin,
Kay yeh aashiqui hai, hawas nahin
Main unhi ka tha, main unhi ka hoon,
Woh mere nahin toh, nahin sahi."

"Ms. Siddiqui, punctuality seems to be a challenge for you," Dr. Khan said, his voice carrying an air of authority. "So, let’s see if extra time in the hospital will help you manage that."

"Sir, I know I was late today, but it won’t happen again. I assure you_" she said nervously, hoping to soften his stance.

"Assurances mean nothing without action," he interrupted sharply, not giving her any room to breathe. "Today, I have an additional task for you," he continued, his tone leaving no room for negotiation. "Tum yeh ensure karogi ke saare OPD patients ka data—more than 300 of them—is collected, organized, and ready on my desk by tomorrow morning."

Azka’s eyes widened in shock. "Sir, 300 se zyada patients ka data? But that’s—" she began, her voice trembling at the sheer volume of work.

"Exactly what I said," Dr. Khan leaned forward, his voice cold and commanding. "Consider this an opportunity to prove that you can handle real responsibility. Agar yeh tumhare liye zyada hai, then maybe you’re not as capable as your record suggests."

Azka swallowed hard, trying to steady her nerves. "Sir, I’ll do my best," she said, her voice filled with determination despite the fear gnawing at her. "But managing all that data—"

"I’m not interested in your difficulties, Ms. Siddiqui," he said dismissively, waving away her concerns. "You’ll make it work, and let me be perfectly clear: If you’re late again, there will be further consequences. Understood?"

"Understood, sir," Azka replied, her voice firm despite the anxiety building inside her. "I’ll handle it."

Dr. Khan nodded sharply. "Now, get to work. OPD ka data kal subah tak mere desk par hona chahiye. No excuses, your time starts now."

Azka turned to leave, her mind already racing with the overwhelming task ahead. As she walked out of his cabin, she couldn't help but feel the weight of the challenge that now rested on her shoulders.

Seerat winced as she carefully dressed her wounds, her hands trembled slightly as she adjusted her dupatta, ensuring it hid the bruises that marred her skin. The pain from her father’s lashes was a constant, burning reminder of the violence she had endured. still fresh and searing with pain. She made sure to cover them well, concealing any sign of the torment she had endured. Despite the agony, she steeled herself, knowing she had to go to the hospital. Just as she was about to leave, Shahzeb blocked her path.

"Agar tum uss Zain ke saamne jaakar mu khologi toh bohot bura anjaam hoga, yaad rakhna" Shahzeb warned,
his voice dripping with menace.

Seerat didn’t respond, her throat tightening with unshed tears. She left the house, feeling utterly defeated. All her hopes of seeking help from Dr. Khan, the man she thought of as a brother, were shattered.

By the time she reached the hospital, it was already 1 p.m. Ahad, having heard she had arrived, quickly made his way to find her. Spotting her, he approached with a coffee in hand, trying to mask his concern with a casual smile.
