school is starting up again so guess who's back to writing, there's only two chapters left.
Lucilius' pov
A rugged hand lazily drips down to meet.. Leather? I glance down at my side, a bag? Since when did I have a- Oh crap I still have Sabina's coin purse. How could I have forgotten something so important?
"Then I had-" Sabina stopped mid sentence. I follow her tensed gaze to a group of young children giggling to themselves while looking into an obviously stolen bag. Unconsciously her arm falls to her side, putting a protective hand over her own purse: a small handmade leather coin purse pulled closed tight with a thick string of twine. "Do you want me to hold your bag so it doesn't get stolen?" her eyes slowly drift away from the little thieves as she thinks for a moment. "That's probably a good idea," she decides, gently untying the twine that attached it to her toga. "Thanks." I try to ignore the way her hands brushes against mine as she hands me her bag. a small smile creeps onto my lips, I was a little worried she'd think I asked because I thought she was weak. Luckily it seems she agrees thieves are just more likely to target a woman over an i'll be it dirty soldier. "Don't let me forget you have it" she said it playfully like she knew i wouldn't forget but I have a feeling I definitely will "No promises"
I sigh, inwardly cursing myself for putting the idea out there for the universe to play with. I glance at the sun, noting its current position to be only a few hours away from setting. I might have just enough time to get it to her before tomorrow. I cringe slightly, even if it means seeing Alexander again who, after seeing his constant glaring and annoyance at just my mere presence, definitely doesn't like me very much. Even in just the few moments we spoke he made that very apparent, like he wanted me to know his disdain. Honestly I don't know how Sabina can put up with that guy. I begrudgingly started my walk to their meeting place, guess it's a good thing Sabina pointed it out when we walked by it earlier.

"Sabina?" It was eerily quiet. Even with the calming ambient sound of water hitting water coming from the fountain, it just felt unsettling. The air.. The atmosphere.. Something is just... off. "Hello?" Where did everyone go? The area was empty, not a single soul in sight, not even the two who were definitely supposed to be. It hasn't even been that long since Sabina left to meet up with him. I fiddle my fingers trying to expel the anxiety currently surging up a storm in my stomach. It's probably fine... right? They probably just went somewhere else, But... Why do I still feel so uneasy? I look around nervously, eyes catching along every small detail of the area, desperate to find some kind of answer to my unfounded uneasiness. I should look for them. I just need confirmation that they... She is ok.
A small glint of green light pulls my gaze to a perfume bottle laying forgotten next to the building. Immediately my stomach drops, breathing shakier and quicker. Isn't that.. Sabinas? I'm already next to the bottle, reaching for it's smooth glassy surface. Holding onto the small hope that it wasn't hers... but it was. Deep down I knew, I knew before I read the label that it would be. Gods, how I wish it wasn't.
A new, much stronger, wave of panic hits into me, full force. Nearly knocking me off of my feet. The image of Sabina looking at the kids with the purse, anxiety enveloping her features, flashed briefly behind my eyes. She wouldn't just leave something like this laying around, no one would especially knowing there are thieves around. "Sabina what the hell happened to you?"
Sabina's Pov
Darkness.. Nothing but darkness.
Something binds my hands and feet together, I can't move.
