Marriage on paper

Isa's POV
It was around the 10'o clock and I was nearly in my bed when a knock was on my beard along with my father's voice.

"Isa are you awake"Dad asked.
"Yes dad."I replied and opened the door.

He looked at me and gave me a sad smile.i knew something was not right immediately.

"Is everything alright.Is Callum alright."I asked worried.i just went to meet him in the afternoon with Henry we we told Callum about how our day went and he listened.. I guess.

"Callum is alright"Dad said.He paused realising there is nothing alright about callum's situation.
"he is well."he replied again.

"I came here to talk to you about something".he said and looked down as if he was guilty or ashamed of something.

We both sat on the bed bench together where he hugged me tightly.whivh suprised me.because since the last 3 years nothing is going well enough to have this father daughter moment again like we used to.i hugged him back to cherish the moment.

"I am sorry."he said, paused and then continued, "I know you will hate me for this ,but I don't have any other options right now,this was the only way".And started crying.

I was stunned was a second not understanding anything.
"What happened.what are you sorry for.whatever it is it's going to be okay soon enough don't worry."

"I arranged a marriage for you"dad said.

"What?"
"WHAT?"
"What do you mean you arranged a marriage for me???"I was shocked.i was stunned.

"You know how our business isn't going very well.I need you to know I tried everything and everyway I could think of before doing this.i tried everything before making this decision.i love you isa."dad said sadly with tears and humiliation in his eyes.

"I am sure there are other ways to solve whatever is going on." I said back . positive that something will happen.

Dad looked up with tears and sadness in his eyes and shook his head.
"No there isn't."he said.
"This is the last wat to save not only
the company but your brother Callum as well."

"What do you mean.I don't understand?"I just didn't know what to say.

"With the current financial situation of our company we aren't possible to keep Callum alive for long.Everthing will be  taken away for repayment for banks or investors."

I nodded.

Father hugged me and asked If I was okay.i nodded and he left to give me time to think about everything or just accept and come in terms with everything he said even I didn't knew.
