Seonghwa has come to know mostly every side of Hongjoong, he believes.
And ever since they met a few months ago, he feels his heart pounding against his chest whenever they're together.
He feels giddy, wants to be closer and closer even when they're already cuddling.
He wants to shower him with affection, wants to suffocate him in compliments.
But he knows Hongjoong's not the type to get too close to people, has heard his stories and understands why he acts this way.
He knows Hongjoong usually hates touches but somehow, he has come to understand that he will get close, will touch, if he feels comfortable enough.
He hates when he sees Hongjoong struggling whether to reach out and touch him or leave it be.
But he loves when Hongjoong's hand automatically slips in his own when they're alone, fingers cupping his and caressing his skin in the softest way possible.
Even if Hongjoong doesn't look at him while doing it, Seonghwa watches him with a smile each time, squeezing his hand just slightly and earning a shy grin in return.
He loves this.
Loves how they've become, how far they've come and how much they overcame together up until now.
Loves how confident Hongjoong's gotten in comparison to when they first met.
Looking back, he almost seemed like a scared cat, treated like he was nothing and kicked when down, learned to trust no one.
Until Seonghwa came around, holding out his hand for him to take and walk this rocky path together.
He knows it's not easy, showing someone who's lost every sense of trust in other people to hope again, to love again. But he tries.
He tries and he's proud to see how far they made it already.
But he knows Hongjoong's mentally unstable even now, knows that every small thing could make Hongjoong lose any small trace of trust they've worked up over all those months.
So he tries not to do anything stupid.
Still, he felt uneasy when Hongjoong asked to meet up at a small, almost abandoned bus stop near their town's forest at 10 p.m.
It's dark now and Seonghwa still feels uneasy.
He's shivering but he tells himself that Hongjoong doesn't want him to feel like that.
He knows Hongjoong probably has something very important to show him.
Even if it's late.
Even if it's dark.
Even if it's scary and Seonghwa was close to turning around and running back home.
But it's Hongjoong, he tells himself, he wouldn't do anything bad.
He sees him approaching from a few meters away in the dim light of the bus stop and a smile creeps up his lips.
He can't see clearly in the dim light but he still can see that it's Hongjoong and that he's also slightly smiling.
Or at least, he's trying to.
He doesn't smile often but when he does, it's shy and cute and Seonghwa just wants to see more of it.
His steps echo in the dark and Seonghwa can feel his body warmth hugging him when Hongjoong stops right in front of him, a shy smile on his lips as he looks down.
