The I Didn't Hear That File

The crew is hanging out in the dorm I share with Maxine, except Jax. He had some meeting thing to attend with his dad and won't be back 'til tonight. He told us, he didn't wanna go, but his dad forced him to.

Ha! Sucks for him! Although, that means I get less time seeing him. I have had a revelation recently; I like Jax. I like, like him. I haven't told anyone. Yet. Jax is always there.

I'm planning on telling them today. Hayley is visiting FTRS for a month, so she'll be there when I tell them.

"So, Gilly. What did you want to tell us?" Ollie questions. I take a deep breath.

"Okay, so I've realized something, and I wanted to let you know," I start. "I... like Jax." Everyone has different reactions.

"Wow! Cobbler just proved she has a brain!" Jocelyn screams. I roll my eyes.

"Congrats, you're the last one to know," Ollie states. I roll my eyes again.

"Can I plan the wedding?" Maxine asks. "Umm..." I reply.

"Eww, he's disgusting!" Jack exclaims. Lots of eye-rolling today.

"EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" Kayla squeals. I give her a lopsided grin.

"I thought Kayla would be the first one to tell us her feelings," AG confesses. "Me too," I respond.

"Sorry to break it to you, but we already knew," Hayley says. "Oh yeah, I forgot, you guys ship us. Weirdos," I mumble.

"I will pretend I didn't hear that," Jax responds. WAIT, WHAT! JAX IS HERE?!?!?!?! I gape at him.

"Imagine hearing your best friend saying she likes you when you walk into a room," Jax mumbles. Then he walks back out. 

OH MY GRIMM!!!! JAX JUST HEARD ME SAY I LIKE HIM!!!!! WHAT DO I DO?!?!?!?! I BET THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE! WHY ME?

Everyone looks shocked. They look anywhere but me, trying not to make eye-contact. I chase Jax out of the dorm. "JAX! I'M GONNA KILL YOU!" I yell, when I catch up to him.

"Why would you kill the person you like, Thief?" Jax smirks. Oh that little-

"I don't like you!" I say.

"Well now you're just lying," Jax replies. I turn red.

"Relax Thief, I like you too," he says casually. "What?" I say, confused.

"Yeah. In fact, I've liked you for some time."

"Really?"

"Really."

"How are you so chill about this?"

"What's to worry about?" He throws up his hands.

"Okay, so what does that make us?" I ask.

"Well, let's figure that out. So Gilly, wanna go out to the 3 little pigs tomorrow?" How is he so chill? If I were him...

"Like, a date?" I ask.

"Yeah. Just you and me," he responds. OH MY GRIMM, JAX JUST ASKED ME OUT ON A DATE!!!!!!

"Yes! Of course! What time?"

"Two in the afternoon?" he asks.

"Sure!" He smiles. And then I do something. I kiss him. If I were watching this I would look at the people in disgust. But now, I am one of those people.

He tenses up, and then calms down and kisses me back. I feel myself blush. Hard. The kiss ends too early. I meet Jax's violet eyes and then scan his face. He's not even a tiny bit red. Grr!

"Although, I don't know if I can go on a date with a tomato," he says. I glare at him.

"Woah! Calm down, Thief! I'm just saying, I don't think humans usually go on dates with food." I try to glare again, but just end up laughing.

"Ugh, whatever. See you tomorrow?" I ask.

"Of course. Bye Thief!" he says.

"Bye Prince!" I reply. Then we part and go to our dorms.
