cold — that was one way to describe how you were feeling right now.

despite it being nearly summer, you were shivering like crazy. you were wearing a hoodie on top of your uniform in 20°c weather.

you were outside, on your school rooftop, having lunch with the twins and suna. one of them being the most annoying person you've met in your whole life.

your best friend, sonia, was sick, meaning you were left alone with a group of animals — how exciting. you were sitting down on a bench with your legs crossed, while the other three were sitting on the floor opposite you. instead of engaging in whatever conversation your friends were having, you put your earphones in, played some music and did your homework. you could say you weren't really involved; it's not like you wanted to be though.

you've been good friends with the twins for a while; since middle school, to be exact. same with sonia. the four of you were really close, but you and sonia were practically inseperable.

suna started hanging around with you guys at the start of highschool, and ever since then, he's always had his panties in a twist around you. you didn't know what his problem was, and frankly, you didn't really care either. you just went along with it. suna would always somehow manage to sneak in a backhanded comment or just a stupid remark in any conversation. it wasn't anything personal, he wasn't that rude. it was just really fucking annoying.

it's not like you hated him — you lowkey did — he was just obnoxious to be around.

as you wrote down your answers, you looked up and glanced over at the three, who were clearly talking about you. atsumu made it obvious by pointing at you. at first, you wanted to question what the three of them were saying about you, but on second thought, there was no point, so you just went back to doing your homework.

"okay academic weapon," atsumu said, his tone was sarcastic and loud enough for you to hear.

you took out one of your earphones and paused whatever you were listening to.

"more like academic victim," suna scoffed as he turned his face away from you.

"girl.. your grades say exactly that about you," you replied. osamu faked a dramatic gasp at your response.

"guys~ let's not fight now," atsumu's tone remained sarcastic — he was enjoying the tension between the two of you.

however, instead of entertaining it, the two of you went back to doing whatever you were doing until the bell rang.

the second school was over, you rushed home and thanked the universe for the fact that it was friday.

once you opened your front door, you were met with a soft greeting from your mother — as usual. you returned it and scurried upstairs to your room. before you did anything else, you changed your uniform into something more comfortable.

initially, you planned on doing more school work. your end of term exams were soon, and you wanted to do well.

you were exhausted though — burnt out even, work was just piling up constantly and you were over it. you told yourself that "a break never hurt anyone," and so instead of studying, you went on instagram.

so productive of you.

you quickly switched accounts. you thought your main one was boring since you knew everyone on there. not your other one though.
