In a few words, they are channels that connect all the Titans and subjects of Ymir, whether they are alive or dead.
It is a place of infinite time, where the original founder Ymir Fritz resides, and now, with her physical death, Eren Yeager will become Ymir's substitute, allowing her to be freed from the subjugation of the royal family. And since Eren Yeager left no heir, everything would end there.
It was a dark environment, like a full moon night, but instead of the shimmering moon, it was the tree of light growing into the sky. The branches were the channels. Covered in soft, pale sand, it favoured the reflection that made sight possible.
There was no physical time; it was a creative space for both good and evil.
Zeke Yeager, bored by the "years" he had spent there, close to succumb. Nearing the point of giving up, he would occasionally keep an eye on the Founder and his half-brother, the future Founder.
The blond was unable to hear the murmurs of the dark-haired one, and Ymir would nod several times in response as she continued to construct the enormous skeleton.
Zeke thought about speaking up; he needed to prevent the greatest disaster to humanity, and that's when a memory he once deemed insignificant invaded his mind.
"She... protects me, without questioning or valuing her own life... I wonder if the headaches she only started having after the incident are symptoms of some illness due to being an Ackerman, with me as the host."
Zeke thought it was cute that his younger brother was asking him for love advice. After a long, tedious, and rational explanation about Dr. Ksaver's studies, he smiled and said, "The way I see it... Eren, there's no big reason for her to be like that. She just cuts a Titan in half for you because she really likes you." The brunette's response was processed in selective mutism; Zeke didn't wait any longer. "What are you going to do about it?" He smiled, probably one of the few times he did smile.

Meanwhile, Eren inhabited the opposite, indeed, more depressive, as if he wanted to swallow his tears, perhaps due to a lack of willingness to reveal his emotions. He tries to respond, but his voice comes out heavy, weak, and hoarse: "What are you trying to say, nii-san?" He stares at him, and Zeke's experience could perceive that it only took one glance to grasp how distressed he felt about it. "I only have 4 years left."
However, it wasn't the only memory that invaded him. It was about Eren and Mikasa's relationship. The memories of his biological father on the night of the incident that Eren had mentioned, when Mikasa had been kidnapped and Eren, only 9 years old at the time, annihilated two adult men. He was the son Grisha wished Zeke had been, therefore, the favourite.
During the visit, despite Eren being continuously bitter and sarcastic, he revealed himself to be sentimental, and Zeke noticed. To Mikasa, the girl his younger brother had grown up with.
