The Face Off

Once they were outside of the colony, our 3 misfit heroes ventured out into the arctic wasteland and made their way to the Corpse Tower. The old, abandoned buildings, wrecked cars, and corpses of humans and Worker Drones alike made the now abandoned city look quite spooky. While looking around, Uzi accidentally stepped on something. She looked down at the ground to see it was a Worker Drone's head with a red triangle and exclamation mark on its screen.

Scout: Looks like we're here.

Uzi looked up, and in front of her stood the Corpse Tower. Uzi secretly couldn't help but feel nervous about this, but she quickly shakes it off.

Uzi: Alright, you know what to do. Find the battery, and then book it.

Engineer: Alrightly then. Let's do this.

The trio walks into the tower. Inside was a pod of some sorts on spider like legs. They looked around for a bit before Uzi finally found it.

Smiling, she tosses it into her other hand and begins to examine it when she hears something. The 3 decided to hide behind some parts and were not a moment too soon. 2 Disassembly Drones swoop in and land on the pod. One of them lifts their hand to reveal  the head of a Worker Drone. He then looks at it and crushes it.

The other one seemed to be wearing a mask and had no wings. If it wasn't for the yellow X's on their eyes, no one could tell if it was a worker or disassembly drone.

All the while, Uzi was holding a piece of broken glass so that she, Engie, and Scout could them without poking their heads out.

Scout: Oh, God, it's happening. It's happening. I forsol -

Engineer: *puts his hand on Scout's mouth* Shh.

Uzi looked at the battery for only a second or two before looking back at the glass, only to realize something...

...the Disassembly Drones had spotted them.

Scout and Engie quickly realized this, and the 3 got their weapons out so they could fight, Uzi quickly putting the battery into her railgun. But just as she finished, the drones landed so hard it got knocked out of her hands and Uzi and her friends into the air. Uzi and Scout do a back flip, land on the ground, and strike a pose. Engineer, however, wasn't so lucky and landed head first into the snow.

Uzi: Whoa, and they said pirating all that anime was useless...

Using this to their advantage, the 1st Disassembly Drone catches Uzi off guard and stabs Uzi hand, leaving a hole, and flings her to the side, causing her to roll towards her railgun

Scout: Nice effort, Chucklenuts.

The Disassembly Drone looked to their left, only to get hit by Scout's bat. It tries to get a shot of him, but Scout keeps dodging his rockets coming out of his hand.

Engi had just gotten up when he realized that the masked Disassembly Drone was right on top of him. It tried to attack him several times with an axe, but the Texan drone kept dodging it before pulling out his pistol and began to shoot at it. The Disassembly Drone backed off a little, allowing Engi to get up and punched it into their friend.

The 2 Disassembly Drones looked around for their targets, but when they did, Uzi was ready for them

Uzi: Uzi: Bite me!

Uzi fires the railgun, destroying the drones' heads. The railgun recharges, and Team Chucklenuts looks at the decapitated Disassembly Drones as their body falls to the ground.

Engineer: HEHEHE, YE-HAW!!!

Scout: WOOO HOOO!

Uzi: Holy hell! Suck on that, Dad!

Engineer: Uh, boys, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but...

Uzi and Scout look up in horror as they see the 2 Disassembly Drones getting up as their heads regenerate. In a last-ditch effort, Uzi grabbed an arm while Scout got his bat, and they hit the Disassembly Drones' faces with it, which does nothing, then their eyes open.

???: *points his finger at them* ... Did you just slap me with that arm?

Uzi: Holy crap, it talks.
