The boys picked up Melissa, Telissa, and me, and we set off on our way to the beach. The beach was only 15 minutes away, and the view was breathtaking. The water was as blue as the sky, its reflection shimmering on the surface, and the waves gently washed onto the shore. It was truly magical.

I hopped out of the van, eager to enjoy the beach. This was my first time coming since I moved to America, and I was filled with excitement and anticipation. The salty breeze brushed against my face, and the sound of seagulls filled the air, adding to the enchanting atmosphere. I could hardly wait to dip my toes in the water and feel the soft sand between my fingers.

"Eager much?" Jasper teased.

"I am a Caribbean girl, and I missed the beach, so I am very eager," I responded, making Jasper chuckle.

As I ran to the ocean, feeling the sand between my toes was something that I truly missed. Upon reaching the shore, a wave of water came to my feet. The weather was warm and welcoming, and a smile spread across my face as it truly made me feel at home.

“Hey, Ravenna, come set up your spot!” shouted Telissa.

“Coming, mom,” I replied in a sarcastic tone.

“Don't use that tone with me, young lady,” Telissa said, playing along with my scenario.

Everybody laughed, including Jasper. It was the first time I had really heard him laugh before. He only smiles; I never noticed it, but he does have a beautiful laugh. It was the first time I really noticed that he was a handsome fellow, his locks falling in front of his face. A strange feeling happened in my tummy, and it was the first time I ever experienced something like that. Shaking the feeling off, I walked back to where the group was to set up my spot.
The sand was warm beneath my feet as I found a spot to set up my towel. Telissa and Kevin were already busy unpacking the cooler and setting up the beach umbrella. Melissa was busy taking selfies and posing with different filters and silly faces.

"Jasper, help me with the umbrella, will you?" Telissa called out.

"Sure thing," Jasper replied, heading over to assist Telissa.

I couldn't help but smile as I watched them interact. Jasper's mood has really changed since this morning, considering the argument he had with Samantha. I know it was a big one, and seeing him act like a different person kind of confused me.

"Rave, are you just going to stand there all day?" Melissa teased, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Oops, sorry," I chuckled, quickly spreading out my towel and settling down onto it. I reminded myself that I'm going to ask Jasper what happened later, but first, let me enjoy myself. The sun felt wonderful on my skin, and the sound of the waves was soothing. It was shaping up to be a perfect day at the beach.

"Alright, beach bums, who's up for some volleyball?" Melissa's enthusiastic voice cut through the tranquil atmosphere, pulling me out of my reverie.

"I'm in!" I exclaimed, jumping up from my towel with newfound energy.

Volleyball was always a favorite pastime of mine, and the thought of playing with friends by the ocean made it even more enticing. Kevin and Telissa team up, which was more than obviously.
Jasper flashed me a rare smile, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

"It looks like we're partners then, Ravenna."

I felt a flutter in my chest at his words, a strange mixture of excitement and nervousness. There was something about Jasper's mysterious aura that drew me in—something that made my heart race whenever he was near.As we divided into teams, with Melissa taking on the role of referee, I couldn't shake the feeling of anticipation coursing through me. Jasper and I exchanged a quick glance, a silent understanding passing between us.
