I woke up at 6 am. on my first day of law school, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. The clock reminded me that my first class was starting at 8:30, so I quickly got ready and decided to make breakfast for myself and the twins. I whipped up some eggs, bacon, toast, and brewed a fresh pot of coffee.
As the aroma filled the kitchen, Melissa was the first one to come in, exclaiming, "Wow, it smells amazing in here! Your cooking skills are awesome!" I smiled and replied, "Thanks, Melissa! I'm glad you think so." Just then, Telissa walked in, and I served her a plate, too. She complimented, "Your cooking skills are good. How did you learn to cook?"
I chuckled and shared, "Well, back home, my aunt runs a small restaurant. I spent a lot of time there, helping her out and learning how to cook delicious meals." We sat down together, enjoying our breakfast and engaging in lighthearted conversation.
After we finished eating and cleaned up, it was time to head to the college campus. The twins were studying to become social workers, so we chatted along the way about our respective programs and aspirations. Upon arriving at the campus, we bid farewell as they headed towards their social work classes, and I made my way towards the law section of the campus.
Walking through the bustling hallways, I felt a sense of awe and anticipation. The first day of law school marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in my life. I took a deep breath and mentally prepared myself for the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead.

As i entered the lecture room. It was larger than life, just like the ones I had seen in movies. I quickly scanned the room, searching for a seat that would provide me with a good view of the professor and the whiteboard.Finding a spot in the far back, I settled down and took out my notebook, ready to dive into the world of law. As more students filed in, the room buzzed with anticipation. The professor entered the room, her presence commanding attention. She introduced herself and began talking about the course, outlining the topics we would cover throughout the semester.
The professor posed a question to the class, expecting a response. To my surprise, no one seemed to know the answer. My hand shot up instinctively, and I eagerly waited for her to acknowledge me. She noticed my raised hand and gestured for me to speak.
"It's the principle of double jeopardy," I answered confidently, relieved that I knew the answer.
Before the professor could respond, another voice chimed in.
"Correct," Miss Young confirmed, nodding at the person who had answered. I turned my head to see who it was and felt a pang of annoyance. It was Kevin's friend, Jasper, the same guy I had encountered at the club Saturday night. I hadn't expected to see him in my class, let alone competing with me in academics.
I shot him a quick glance filled with disdain, and he returned it with a smug expression, clearly relishing the challenge. It seemed we were about to engage in a battle of wits throughout the class. I squared my shoulders and prepared to go head to head with him.
Miss Young continued her line of questioning, and Jasper and I found ourselves competing for every answer. The atmosphere grew more intense as the back-and-forth exchange between us escalated. We were both determined to prove our knowledge and outshine the other.
The lecture drew to a close, and Miss Young made an unexpected announcement. "In order to enhance your understanding of the legal system, we will be holding a class court," she declared, her eyes scanning the room for reactions, and with that, the class ended.
I immediately gather my things and exit the room, but not before casting a dismal glance in Jasper's way. Jasper's actions in class had me irritated. I thought, what a terrific way to start the first day of school. As I move down the corridor, I notice Kevin coming my way.
