Hello, my name (pen name) is Olympia Raine. I have been working on Battles Leave Scars for two years now, and I am so happy to finally be able to present it to the fandom.
Speaking of the fandom, I want to make it exceptionally clear that I do not own Star Wars. But I also want to explain that I have read some of the Kanan comics, A New Dawn, the Star Wars encyclopedia and the Timeline book. I am NOT trying to make a rewrite of those things. I have written this book because after I watched The Bad Batch and Caleb Dume showed up, I wanted to know everything about him and started formulating a trilogy. I have created my own version of how Kanan goes from a scrawny Padawan in the Jedi Temple to the leader of one of the most important Rebel cells in the galaxy. All that to say, please don't rant about how 'that's not accurate to Legends and Canon Lore!' this is a fanfiction. While containing Lore I claim the fact that I am not subject to it. ;)
Well, after that downer of a paragraph, let's talk about something fun! I wanted to say thank you for giving BLS a shot. I really appreciate you coming by! (While I'm not expecting anyone to) If you do make any art, posts, etc. about my book, please just tag me or make a quick explanation of where it came from. On this point, my book will not be containing any Slash, language, sexual content, etc. so please refrain from suggesting or creating such content with my characters and story. Thank you!
Argh, I wasn't going to make this long, but here we are. Before you start into this story, please know that Battles Leave Scars is a trilogy. There are going to be three acts.
Act 1: Dume
Act 2: Jarrus
Act 3: Syndulla
Each act will have around 30 chapters. Depending on how long the chapters are, they might be split into parts. (For instance, chapter 10 is about 11,000 words, so that one will be split for editing purposes) Act 1 is all but finished, edits being the hold back, and Act 2 is half-way done, and Act 3 is all put together in my head, so please expect a short hiatus somewhere down the road.
Alright, I want to add as well that I, as the author, have the complete ability to delete comments. Should offensive content be in said comments I will have no hesitation in deleting them. So, to prevent such a thing from happening, why don't we take some time to come up with some alternate words instead. I'll go first...
