"Wanna talk, or are you just going to stare at me from a distance?" Zaphyra raised her eyebrows, her voice carrying a hint of impatience.

"Yeah," Viana said, feeling a bit flustered. She walked towards Zaphyra, nearly tripping over the center table in her haste. She somehow managed to settle on the edge of the couch, making sure to keep a safe distance between them.

"Why are you acting like that, Miss Rusty?" Zaphyra asked, her eyes locking onto Viana's with an intensity that made her uncomfortable.

"Rusty?" Viana repeats, feeling a bit taken aback by the nickname.

"Yeah, I like your hair," Zaphyra said with a grin that looked more intimidating than friendly. Viana forced a small smile in return and decided to avoid eye contact as much as possible.

"By the way," Zaphyra continued, putting down the bottle she was holding. She reached into her bag and pulled out a file, dropping it in front of Viana with a thud.

"What's that?" Viana asked, her confusion evident as she stared at the file.

"Contract," Zaphyra replied simply. "It's something I need you to look over."

Viana picked up the file with trembling hands, her mind racing with questions. The air in the room felt heavy, and Zaphyra's piercing gaze didn't help her nerves. She took a deep breath and opened the file, trying to focus on the task at hand despite the uneasy feeling in her stomach.

"ah~" Zaphyra rolls her eyes and scoots closer to Viana as she sees her eyes piercing into the file. "This contract states that Lucius will invest in your almost doomed company and will help you find Kai" she further adds " but in return you have to do him a favour"

"Favour?" Viana who was listening to every word Zaphyra just casually stated, is stunned by the sudden "favour".

"Not for me to say" Zaphyra stands up abruptly leading to Viana doing the same. "He wishes to meet you. Tomorrow at ten-ish"

"I don't want to see him" Viana's heart is fluttering but she refuses to meet Lucius.

"Your choice. You are dead...Almost. He decides your fate now. Choice is yours. Goodnight rusty" Zaphyra picks the bottle of rum up and playfully winks at Viana as she strides towards the door. Viana stands completely still. No movement whatsoever. Her mind and heart are at a fix. Meeting Lucius can be both negative and positive. She refused to even see his face the last time they met but why is she getting pulled towards him? Why is his irresistable charm captivating her soul? Why?

I couldn't sleep for a second last night. The thought of getting Kai back is something I have wanted all along. Lillian really needs her father and I...I...Well, I need Lillian for what's worth. I ddidn't ever wish to come across that man again but here I am, outside his hotel room. Room number 666, just like the devil. I knock on the door twice with anticipation and anxiety rising in my body. My throat is dry and my body feels hotter than ever. This is when I hear a door unlock. I glance up and there he is.
