Farewell..for now

12:30pm

Summertime was approaching, and school is coming to a close. You were just talking to your friends about your plans for the summer, and how you have to bid farwell for half the summer because you had a summer job as a babysitter for your younger cousins and sister.

"Aw, that sucks. I was planning that we would all gather together for a campfire at the beach." Mina sulked.

"That actually sounds like a really fun plan, but unfortunately, it would have to be put on a hold for a while." You said sadly.

"How long are you going to be away anyways?" Denki asked.

"About half of the summer, which is around a month." 

"I just can't believe that I won't be able to see you for a long time." Kiri said while holding your hands softly.

"I know, my love, but I'll be back before you know it. Besides, we can make long-distance work for a while, right?" 

"Right. I'll try to hold on till then." You smiled at him, and he smiles back.

"Enough with the sweet talk, can't we talk about something else? I don't wanna hear your flirting every single damn day of my life." Bakugo glared at the both of you.

"You know, I'm still waiting for you to get a girlfriend. You said you will get one, right? Well...I don't see her."

Bakugo's eyes widened in shock.

"Dang, my brotha. You just got roasted!" Denki exclaimed while laughing.

"SHUT UP, YOU SHORT-CIRCUIT FREAK!" Bakugo exclaimed before slamming the table with his fist and walking off with his fists in his pockets.

Seeing his reaction, you all started laughing until the bell rang, indicating that lunch is over and summer is just about to begin.

~At the airport~

2:30pm

It's time. To say goodbye to everything: your school, your friends, and your boyfriend. You know it's only for a month, but you'll miss them so badly. You've never truly wanted to leave them; you were forced by your aunt to take a summer job to 'provide more money for yourself'. You couldn't protest, since she's your only relative, and you're not of age to withdraw yourself from a job. Oh, the misery.

"Welp, I guess I'll see y'all next month." You waved goodbye to all your friends, and your boyfriend. 

"Wait!" Kirishima exclaimed as he ran towards you. You stopped dead on your tracks.

"I'd like for you to have this. To remember me by in case you forget." He handed you a golden necklace, with a ruby shaped as an amulet. Tears started to form in your eyes as you gave him a tight hug.

"I could never forget about you. You're my special ruby." You leaned in to give him a soft kiss.

"You're special to me too, my little sunshine." He smiled at you. 

"Alright lovebirds, break it up. Isn't the plane going to leave anytime soon?" Denki questioned as your mind snapped back to reality.

"Ah, yes. Well, see you next month!" You smiled and waved them goodbye before quickly rushing to your plane.

~Inside the plane~

You stepped inside, and went to look for your seat. Your seat happened to be all the way at the back, right next to the bathroom.

Shucks, I hope nobody blows in there.  You took your seat. Sitting right next to you was a black-haired guy, who looked a little familiar, but you couldn't wrap your finger around it. You had a feeling in your gut that something is wrong with this guy, but you shrugged it off, and listened to music the whole ride home.
