The next day, Emily and Tanner met in the library. Emily laid out her notes and textbooks, ready to dive into the material.
Emily: "Okay, so let's start with the basics. Do you understand the law of conservation of energy?"
Tanner stared at the equations, clearly lost.
Tanner: "Uh, not really. Can you explain it again?"
Emily patiently walked him through the concept, her enthusiasm for the subject shining through. Tanner watched her, noticing how animated she became when talking about science.
Tanner : "You really love this stuff, don't you?"
Emily: (smiling) "I do. It's like unraveling the secrets of the universe."
