I stand up out of my car and Jessica does the same, we both hear blaring music coming from inside. Jessica smiles mischievously and runs to the door, opening and pushing into the crowd. I sigh and roll my eyes, walking to the door when I feel someone's presence. I stop dead in my tracks, it's a familiar scent. I look around and see no one. I cautiously go forward and I make my way through the doorway, closing it behind me. I hear blaring music all around me, overwhelmed I push through the crowd and stumble to an open back door. As I walk outback the music fades out and it's beautiful back here. Sparkling fairy lights hung from fence to fence, there was a bonfire going in the middle of the yard. It smelled amazing, I loved the smell of burning wood, it reminded me of the forest. In the city you can't really smell the trees, there's too many other aromas that overwhelm your senses, so it's nice to smell wood for a change.

I step further into the backyard and sit by the glimmering water the pool holds. I can't help but push off my heels and stick my feet in the water, pulling my dress a little above my knees. Swishing my feet back and forth slowly in the water as I sit there, peacefully. I hear Jessica shouting after me. "AUTUMN!! HEEEEYYY. Haha.. Thankfully you're driving home cause i'm wasted." She says a little slurred. I giggle at her actions and how silly she looked. I sighed and just let her keep on partying. And then, suddenly, that familiar scent was back. 'Strange.' I thought as I sat there, my feet still dangling in the pool water. I saw someone dart across the grass and jump into the pool, water going everywhere, including on me. Frustratingly, I stand up and go to some cubbies that have spare towels at, like most parties like this do. I pick up one of the smaller towels and dry my face off first. I wrap a towel around me and then I see him. Why is he showing up everywhere I end up being for some odd reason? I guess he's got friends here.. That doesn't make me any less disgust than I was.

I make my way into the house more people filed into the backyard so I decided to go inside to get a drink from the kitchen. There was less and less people inside. I leaned against the counter, I tense as I feel that same presence as before. I looked around and saw no one in the kitchen with me. Just because I can't see them doesn't mean I can't feel they're around me.. I looked around once more before opening the fridge door to grab a water when I heard movement. I clutched the water, before standing up and closing the fridge door. Then, there he was, standing in the only exit way from the kitchen. 'well..shit.' I thought. This is going to be complicated.
