I sat in the back seat of the car, the morning sun casting a harsh light on the chaos we had just left behind. The smell of gunpowder and burning rubber still clung to the air, a bitter reminder of the shootout outside the restaurant. Tony, our driver, kept his eyes on the road, skillfully navigating through the early morning traffic. Jamie sat beside me, his expression a mixture of anger and frustration. Cross, in the front passenger seat, kept a wary eye on our surroundings.

"Can you believe those idiots?" Jamie muttered, his voice tight with anger. "Attacking us in broad daylight, right after the meeting."

"They're new recruits," Cross added, trying to inject some perspective. "Judging by their aim, they barely know how to handle a gun."

"That doesn't make it any better, Cross," I said, my voice a low growl. "Inexperience or not, they put everything at risk. Civilians, property, our reputation. This is unacceptable."

Jamie nodded vehemently. "We need to send a message back to Ilsan. Let them know that this kind of recklessness won't be tolerated. Haejeogpa needs to understand the consequences of such actions."

Suddenly, a car behind us accelerated, closing the distance. I recognized it instantly-one of the vehicles involved in the ambush.

"Tony, lose them," I ordered, my voice steady despite the adrenaline coursing through me.

Tony nodded, his face set in determination. He floored the accelerator, our car leaping forward. The engine roared as we sped through the streets, weaving through the morning traffic with precision.

" Persistent son of a bitches!" Jamie spat, glancing back at the pursuing car. "We need to shake them off before they cause more damage..."

"We'll lead them into the industrial district," I said, formulating a plan. "Fewer civilians, more places to lose them."

Tony expertly navigated through a series of tight alleys and sharp turns, the pursuing car struggling to keep up. The cityscape transformed into a maze of warehouses and factories, their shadows long and foreboding even in the morning light.

"They're still on us!" Cross noted, his voice tense. "We need to do something, or they'll catch up! Damnit! I should've brought a bigger gun!

"Tony, take the next left," I instructed. "There's a narrow alley up ahead that will force them to slow down."

Tony executed the maneuver flawlessly, our car darting into the narrow alley. The pursuing vehicle tried to follow, but its larger size forced it to slow down, giving us a precious few seconds' lead.

"Ready to have a little play time , Boys? " I asked, pulling out my gun and checking the clip. "We're going to give them a surprise."

" Little boys with daddy issues need a little spanking. " nodding his head, Cross responded, his own Beretta ready,
