Chapter 22. GOSSIP!

Just as am about to push the door I hear someone mention Prince Arthur from inside  so I decide to listen what she's talking about before I go in . I think they are the maids trying to clean the hall .

" I don't even know why she is being happy and bragging ! Prince Arthur doesn't even love her ! He love Madin" I hear a girl's voice .

" It's King Arthur " Another one corrects.

" Whatever as long as the point is home , she's just being used and she's being happy , what an idiot !"

" I think she's going to  try and separate them , I don't trust that woman's intentions, she didn't like Madin from the first day we came here !" A boy's voice.

Another  , " Why are you people worried about her separating Madin and prince Arthur!? She is going to treat and rule us like slaves! You should be worried about that not Madin!"

" King Arthur won't let her do that !"

" I can't imagine what Madin is feeling right now "

Another boy's voice "Why are you people obsessed with that boy , I don't even think it's right for him to be with prince  Arthur, they are both men for heavens' sake , are you people blind?!"

" You shut up ! "

"Yes shut up ! King Augustas said all that matters is happiness and if it wasn't for the reason that prince Arthur was to become a king , king Augustas wouldn't have made him marry that pretentious evil woman! "

" Okay ! Everyone calm down , there's no reason to start fighting, we haven't even finished our work here , let's finish this up , I Want to go see my boyfriend.." A boy's voice.

I here gasps .

" You too!?"

" Me too what?"

" You.. you ha.."

" Yes I have a boyfriend ."

"Is he in this palace ? Who is it ?"

" Ha.. you really think am going to tell you ? Forget it ! Let's finish up this work . "

I push the door and enter, they seem to freeze after seeing me .

" Uh.. good evening " I say walking towards them .

" Good evening " they answer coming towards me as if they've just unfroze .

We talk for sometime about different things but I refuse to let them talk about my love life . I help them clean up , we gossip about Catherina and  plan how we wont let her rule us cruelly .

Because of them I even forget that I came here for alcohol . After some time we hear birds chirping and that's when we realize that a night has gone without any sleep .

With our lazy bodies we embark on our daily duties , I don't have much to do apart from waking the new king up and have him go for breakfast after it's ready , cleaning his room and also the clothes and the sheets that he just used with his queen !! The daily dose  of suffering kick in .

I need to visit my mom's grave and talk to her , I used to do that when I was a child, when my so called aunt used to give me a hard time , going there really made me feel better .

By the way , I asked for forgiveness on the behalf of my so called aunt and pleaded for her to be released , so she went back to her family without even thanking me , what a person  !

I don't want to go to Arthur's
room  right now so I walk out to clear my head , they know the time they are supposed to wake up so I am not going to wake them up!
