Since I haven't been busy recently I decided to upload another chapter enjoy:)
"That dream it was so real."
Ema slipped on her worn jeans and a lilac shirt that had white daisies on it. She went to the kitchen to make her breakfast.
"Since I woke up late today i'll just have toast." She put a piece of toast in the toaster. Ema walked to the bathroom and brushed her teeth, then she brushed her hair and braided it so it would stay out of her face. She went back to the kitchen and buttered her toast and ate it. It was 7:45 she had class at 8:15.
"You really are a morning person aren't you?" Momo came out of her room
"Not really I just don't want to be late for class. Youre lucky the star group doesn't have class until 8:30." Ema finished the last bite of her toast.
"It's because we need our beauty rest." Momo framed her face with her hands.
"And we don't?" Ema also framed her face with her hands.
They both laughed. Ema glanced at the clock.
"I have to go, are you working tonight?" Ema grabbed her bag and key.
"No. I have homework." Momo pulled her hair up into a messy bun.
Momo had long black hair with turquoise tips. Her eyes were light blue, she was shorter than Ema even though she was older.
"Ok bye." Ema slipped on her shoes.
She made it to class right on time. As usual she sat in the back close to the door.
"Hey Ema." Xander sat by Ema.
"Hey Xander, last night I had some really great ideas for the duet...what if we made it like a battle?" Ema said
"Huh?"
"Like have the pianos fight back and forth like you would play soft then I would play harsh then it just keep intensifying."
"I think I get what your talking about, it's different I like it."
"Ok class today we are gonna work on our duets...so find your partner and start brainstorming. Just remember if just one person does the work we will be able to tell, if you have no part of composing when you play it won't have any emotion."
Ema got out her blank piece of sheet music and started scratching down notes while humming. Xander did the same.
"Ok this is what I have." Ema handed Xander her sheet music.
"Heres mine." He handed his to Ema.
As they read over eachothers sheet music they started humming.
"I like it." Ema gave Xander back his sheet music.
"I like yours to maybe mine should be one octave higher." He handed her back her sheet music. For the rest of the hour they kept making small changes then exchanging papers and changing things on the others paper.
"Ok guys class is over make sure you practice with your partner, a signup list for use of the practice room will be posted my the door."
"Do you wanna practice it after school?" Ema packed up her bag.
"Can't, work. How's Sunday at 4:30?" Xander grabbed his bag.
"Works for me i'll put it on the signup sheet for 4:30." Ema wrote it on the signup sheet.
The rest of Ema's classes were almost unbearable she wanted to learn music not algebra.
"Finally I get to go to music theory." Ema wasn't paying attention to her surroundings.
"Oh my gosh are you blind?"
"Sorry" Ema looked up "oh hey Violet."
"Whatever. Get outta my way." Violet pushed pashed Ema
"Didn't your mother teach you anything?" Ema was starting to get mad
Violet burst out in tears.
"How could she?She's dead."
"Oh my gosh im so sorry." Ema hugged her.
Violet stopped and suddenly burst out laughing.
"Are you dumb my mom works here."She snorted
"What?" Ema didn't understand
"IM VIOLET AMHERST, MY MOM TEACHES MUSIC THEORY." Violet slowly said each word mocking Ema.
Ema ran past her and the crowd with tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Why am I crying" Ema asked herself "she's just a bully."
She wiped her tears and walked into the classroom smiling as real as she could.
"Hey Ema." Xander's voice cheered Ema up just a little more.
"Hello there xander."
"Well someone is in a chipper mood today."
"Yep." Ema smiled
She got out her notebook. Mrs.Amherst went on with her usual rant that seemed it just made a big circle by the end of class.Comment
