In their past lives, Lan Wangjie and Wei Wuxian shared a love affair beyond time, but the cruel hand of fate cut their story tragically short

Wei Wuxian was a professor with immense talent and a compassionate heart, and Wei Wuxian was wrongly accused of dark deeds. Ignorant and hunting, he sought refuge in a temple hidden in a mountain, hoping to find solace in its sacred hall.

Lan Wangjie had always been devoted to Wei Wuxian, vowing to protect him at all costs. But their enemies, moved by fear and hatred, pursued them relentlessly, determined to tear them to pieces.

In the last fierce battle, Lan Wangji fought bravely to protect Wei Wuxian, but the odds were stacked against them. As they stood side by side and faced their enemies with unwavering determination, the tragedy struck.

Caught in the crossfire of the struggle, Lan Wangji fell, severely injured, his life spun around as he clung to Wei Wuxian's hand and in his last moments with love and devotion mumbled, watching Wei Wuxian's heart break with tears.

With a dying breath, Lan Wangjie made a solemn promise to protect Wei Wuxian even in death. And when darkness fell upon him, he prayed that their love would outlast death.

Overwhelmed with grief and guilt, Wei Wuxian actively retired to seal himself in the temple, hoping to cause further harm to the world. But in doing so, he resigned himself to eternal slumber and condemned himself forever to lonely misery.

For centuries, Lan Wangjie’s spirit wandered the realm of death bound by Wei Wuxian’s love, seeking redemption and reunification. And then, when their paths crossed again, Lan Wangji vowed to rewrite their tragic past by creating a new future filled with hope and healing.
