When Ronan opened his eyes he saw Liam already looking at him. He was just looking at his eyes with no emotion. Ronan ran his knuckles across Liam's cheeks. Liam leaned into the touch and closed his eyes.
"Good morning."
Liam whispered. Something was wrong. Ronan couldn't tell what it was. He wanted to talk about yesterday's events, but he didn't want to remind Liam of the hurt he endured. Ronan was about to speak when Liam quickly stood up.
"I have to get ready everything before you guys leave."
And just like that Liam left the room to get ready. When Ronan came down for breakfast he saw a smiling Liam. But his eyes lacked that twinkle. He sat down along with Collin who didn't look up from his phone. Liam was still talking and being happy, which made Ronan more confused.
"So, Collin did Max call you when he reached home?"
Liam casually asked acting as if Collin didn't broke his heart yesterday. Collin looked like a deer caught in headlights. He cleared his throat before answering.
"He texted me."
Liam nodded and went back to eating. Collin looked at his papa in confusion. Why isn't he yelling at him, which he never did, or be clingy to him as usual? Ronan and Collin finished their breakfast and walked towards their car, with Liam following them. Collin as usual went first without saying goodbye to Liam. Collin was about to enter the car when Liam called him.
"Baby!!"
Collin turned around to face his papa with an annoyed face. Liam approached Collin with a warm smile. But there was a hidden sadness under it, that Collin failed to recognise. Liam stopped in front of Collin and cupped his cheeks with both hands. He stood on his tiptoes and kissed his forehead. Usually Collin would push away his papa whenever he shows any sign of affection but this time his heart told him not to. He basked in the warmth of his papa's hands. Liam caressed Collin's cheeks and Collin could swear he saw his papa's eyes glisten with tears.
"I love you."
Liam whispered before stepping back. Ronan was watching all this with his heart hammering in his chest. On other days he would have cooed at this scene. But something was definitely wrong. Ronan walked and stood behind Liam. Liam turned around sensing his husband's presence. He embraced Ronan, the action making Ronan surprised. Ronan wound his arms around Liam's waist. Liam nuzzled his face into Ronan's chest, taking deep breaths of his musky scent along with the expensive cologne. When Liam pulled back, he had that same smile. But it was lacking that twinkle. Ronan cupped Liam's face.
"I love you. I will always love you. You know that right?"
Liam asked making Ronan frown. Ronan's words were cut off by a kiss. Liam was kissing him, so tenderly and gentle. Taking his own time, like he would not be able to taste Ronan's lips again. Ronan rested his forehead on Liam's when they pulled away. Liam pushed Ronan away with a soft chuckle.
"Go, if you don't want to be late."
Ronan took heavy steps towards the car and stopped before entering the car. He turned again and saw Liam was still standing there as usual. Liam waved and Ronan waved back. Ronan got inside the car and looked at Collin who was silent.
"Weird."
Collin mumbled. Both the father's and son's heart was nervous for some reason. Collin turned back when the car started and heaved a sigh. Liam let his fake smile fall from his face when the car was out of his sight. He had everything planned. He was going to leave them alone. It was not an easy decision. But he had to do it for his son's happiness. Collin was right, Ronan deserved someone who is worthy enough to stand beside him. And Collin deserved a parent who he can call papa with pride in front of everyone. So he is leaving, but not alone. He have his little peanut with him. He went back inside, to his room, where his things are packed. He just packed some clothes and a chain Ronan gave him during the early stages of their relationship. He placed the letter he wrote for Ronan and Collin on the table. He picked the suitcase and walked downstairs. When he reached the bottom he looked around the place he called his home for 17 years.
"Steven."
Liam called him and, Steven was there in a second as usual.
"Yes, Sir?"
Steven looked at the packed bags and back at Liam.
"Going somewhere sir?"
Steven asked.
"Yes. I'll be gone for a few days."
Liam gave a cover to Steven who took it with a confused look.
"This is to help you with when Ronan and Collin makes things hard for you since i won't be here. I have written what to do, you can read it."
Steven nodded taking in whatever Liam told him. Suddenly Liam hugged Steven, who was surprised at first. Steven hugged him back when the surprise wore off.
"Thank you for being a good friend. I'll miss you."
Just then a car honked outside their gate.
"Oh my ride is here."
Liam bent down taking his suitcases.
"Let me."
Steven said taking the bags from Liam's hands.
"Why did you book a cab? You could take our car no?"
"I just wanted a change."
Steven nodded and helped Liam to put the suitcases inside the car. Liam waved Steven goodbye and when the car passed the gate, Steven couldn't shake of that weird feeling.

Ronan couldn't pay attention to anything. It's only 12 and he already fucked up many things due to his lack of concentration. He forgot to sign some files his secretary gave to him, send the wrong file, and many more mistakes. His mind was full of Liam. He stood up, loosening his tie and called his secretary.
"I'm taking a leave today. Whatever schedule we have planned today postpone it to day after tomorrow."
Ronan left the company in a hurry asking his driver to speed up. He basically got off the car before it came to a stop. He walked inside and saw it was eerily quiet.
"Steven!!!"
He called the butler. Steven came rushing hearing Ronan shout his name.
"Where is Liam? Is he in the glass house?"
"Liam sir left."
"Left? Left where?"
Ronan asked with a beating heart.
"I don't know."
Ronan looked at their room and ran to it. He opened the door and saw it was just as he left in the morning. He walked to the wardrobe and opened it. He saw some of Liam's clothes missing. He picked his phone dialling Liam's number. ' The number you have called is switched off.'
"Fuck!!!"
Ronan cursed and sat on the bed. All worst case scenarios ran through his mind. His blood draining at the thought of Liam leaving.
"No, he won't do that. He must have gone somewhere."
Ronan said to himself. His eyes fell on a paper placed on the table. He picked the paper and saw Liam's wedding ring also placed near it. Ronan took a deep breath before reading the letter. Hoping this was just a prank by Liam.
