chapter 5: Lindsay takes Baby Piper with her to school.

Lindsay Knight woke up to get dressed for school when she remembered Piper was in her room and probably hungry for formula.

Lindsay changed into a red knee-length skirt with a yellow shirt, an orange Hoddie and brown boots, picked up Piper and held her in her arms, and walked downstairs to eat.

Lindsay fixed herself some cereal and ate it.

Once Lindsay was finished, she washed her bowl and put it in the dishwasher to get washed, and all of the kids ate breakfast.

Terry started the dishwasher, and Lindsay grabbed one of the baby bottles that her mom and dad bought, filled it with water, put some formula inside, and put it in the microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds.

She tested it on her arm and saw no redness.

She fed Piper the bottle, and Piper was drinking the milk like it was all going away.

She then burped Piper and changed her diaper and put a clean diaper on Piper.

She dressed Piper in a dark green onesie.

She and Terry walked to the bus stop, Lindsay was carrying Piper in her arms, and she had her red backpack with orange straps on her back, and Piper was sleeping.

She saw her best friend Cadenza Ruzek walking over to her, and she smiled at her.

She saw Callie Casey and Hailey Severide walking to her, and all 4 girls were talking.

Cadenza was sad, which Lindsay noticed.

Lindsay asked," What's wrong, bestie?

Cadenza said," My baby sister Piper was reported stolen from the hospital just after being born, and I have been looking for her.

Lindsay said," Is this her, Bestie? Tell me.

Lindsay, who was holding Piper in a blanket, gently removed the blanket to reveal Piper.

Cadenza gasped and said," Yes, that's her. Can I please hold her and take her home?

Lindsay said," My dad must have stolen her from the hospital, and yes, you can take her.

Cadenza was handed Piper, and they headed to class along with Callie Casey and Hailey Severide. They all met in pre-school.

They sat together in the back of the classs.

Their first class was math, which was good.

They headed to science class, and it was, uhh. They headed to history, and it was fun.

Their 3rd classs was gym, and it was hard.

Their 4th class was lunch and English. The girls enjoyed having lunch together.

Their 5th class was fashion design, and it was fun, seeing as Piper slept through it.

Their 6th class was Spanish, and it was very chaotic, making Piper cry, and it was not fun, and they left right when class was over.

Their 7th and last period class, child development was fairly fun, Piper slept through the whole class, and it was calm.

Then Cadenza handed Piper back to Lindsay, and they pretended everything was normal until Piper could be with her real family, the Ruzeks, and they wanted to meet her.

Lindsay and Terry took the bus home.

Lindsay took care of Piper day and night without taking any time for herself.
