Amalia woke up nervous, she was questioning what to wear on her first day - skirt? Too slutty. Dress? Too much. She screamed in frustration, digging through her many clothes. Finally, her eye caught a pair of washed straight-leg, low-rise jeans. Perfect. She can pair it with a top which goes to her stomach.
Smiling, she layed the clothes out, getting the rest of herself ready. Curling her hair, she put it in a half up half down, leaving strands at the front and made her way downstairs.
"Morning Mom!" She exclaimed, sitting at the table and grabbing her normal cereal with milk.
"Hi honey, you look nice" she complimented, smiling at her daughter. "Thank you" Amalia said, her voice muffled due to the cereal. Jane chuckled at this, she took after her father.
"Hi darling" James said, kissing Jane. Amalia rolled her eyes in her head, sometimes they could be too affectionate."Ready for your first day Amalia?" Her father questioned, genuinely curious.
"I think so, but I have a feeling everyone knows each other here so it may be hard to fit in." Amalia spoke her worries, she was open with her parents about some stuff- not all."Aww honey you'll be fine I'm sure you'll fit in", Jane said, offering a smile.
"Yeah and no funny stuff with boys, okay?" James said, half being serious half not. Amalia just chuckled, "you know me too well" she joked.
"Okay, now on your way Amalia, James is dropping you off" Jane stated. Both of them got ready to go.Amalia and James pulled up to the school, and Amalia felt her nerves kick in. 'What if they don't like me?' She questioned to herself, James could sense her tension and stroked her hair.
"Don't worry, it will be okay" James said, trying to calm her. Amalia just nodded and watched multiple students walk into school, James kissed her head and bid her goodbye. Slowly, Amalia opened the door and stood up, picking up her bag. She waved to her dad and started walking up to the daunting building.
Immediately, as soon as she entered the school heads turned to her. People standing in groups stared at her, making her uncomfortable as it wasn't often they got someone new. She just smiled at anyone who looked at her, receiving some back and some not. She just sighed internally at the people who scowled, 'how rude?' She was thinking in her own world she didn't even see the three people who had walked up to her.
"Hi!" One girl exclaimed, snapping her out of her trance. Amalia immediately smiled at the girl, offering the same reply. Her eyes shifted to the other two girls: one was taller with dark hair in bangs and the other ginger, short and curly hair. They both smiled at her. "I'm Immie" the brunette smiled, "and that's Linda" she gestured to the dark hair one "and that's Mia" she pointed to the ginger one.
Amalia smiled, they seemed nice enough. "I'm Amalia" she smiled.
"We know, your all anyone's talked about, you're really pretty" Immie said, excitedly.
"We thought you'd need some people to show you round the school" Linda said, offering a kind smile.
"And we thought you would feel more comfortable having people than walking around by yourself" Mia added.Amalia smiled at them, they seemed so nice and she could do with some people to hang out with. Before she could reply, loud shouts could be heard from down the hall, whooping and hollering. A group of 5 boys were laughing and shoving each other, all attractive and tall.
Amalia turned to watch the other girls, possibly for an explanation but saw a mixture of reactions. Immie was smiling giddily, Linda showed no emotion and Mia was rolling her eyes. Amalia turned back to the boys who had started annoying this girl, who wasn't exactly the most attractive person, but Amalia didn't judge someone based on their looks.
They started calling her names, and Amalia stood there shocked. Why wasn't anyone doing anything? She saw the girls eyes well up in tears and grew angry with the boys. Amalia stormed over and grabbed the one's arm who seemed to be leader.
