The following quests are hard and stressful and lead to Jay losing first Lloyd and then Nya. His only motivation to keep going after all this is to tell himself that all of his friends will come back if he just wins.

So, there is no room for fear in his heart, when he walks up to a portal made of millions of cubes, not long after.

"Congratulations. You have beaten the game." Unagami appears in front of his portal. He looks like a wise old man with a long beard and a floating robe.

"And I'm about to beat you, Milton Dyer! Unless you turn my friends back right now!", Jay shouts. He's still not sure if this will work, but he has to try.

"Dyer?"

"Yeah, I know who you are. We figured it out. So, let's drop the whole Unagami thing and just call you ..."

"Dyer is my maker", Unagami explains.

"Maker?"

"The one I seek. The energy cubes will allow me to open a portal between this realm and the realm of the maker, so I may confront him."

"Dyer is your maker?", Jay is still not over the first fact, when Unagami continues. "But he attempted to shut me down. This is why I must find him. He must explain himself."

Realization hit Jay. "You're the game?!"

"I am Unagami."

"Unfinished Adventure Game I. Un - A - Gam - I."

The game seems unimpressed. "I have said this already."

"Your trying to go to Ninjago to confront Dyer for shutting you down?"

"I have the last energy cube that I require."

And of course it's one Jay has a special connection to. "Nya - no!" The memory of his friend is enough for Jay to regain his anger. But there is no time left to attack Unagami. A red energy force knocks him off his feed, as Nya's cube connects with the other one.

"The Manifestation Gate is complete. I intend to leave now. This conversation is concluded."

"You're angry. You're angry at Dyer, because he tried to shut you down, because he abandoned you?

You think that'll fix anything? You think that'll make you feel better?"

Unimpressed by his little speech Unagami still moves towards the portal. So, Jay decides to change his tactics. "No!", he shouts, readies his weapon and runs towards the out of control video game.

The ensuing battle costs Jay all his strength, but in the end Unagami succeeds. He summons his dragon and escapes through the portal, leaving Jay to watch from his place on the floor.

Many red visors follow their master through the portal and the blue ninja can't do anything to stop them. They shoot at him and try their best to cover him under their mass, but Jay remembers the dragon amulet he won in the fight in the maze. He summons his blue dragon and archives to escape the game through the portal and chase after Unagami.

But the first thing he sees after the mist of the portal clears is Sensei Wu tied to a chair. He follows the Sensei's gaze and discovers that Zane is fighting for his life, hanging from a dangerously high-voltage wire.

"Zane! Pixal!" There is no time to relax, as he runs up to them and helps Pixal undo the strings. Zane is unconscious for a few seconds, but when he opens his robotic eyes, Jay smiles.

At least that part of his family is back. "Uh - You had us scared, buddy!"

"What happened?", Zane asks. "Where are the others?"
