I bit my lip nervously as my eyes met with Aubrey's. She dated Enzo when they were 14.
Cringe but that's the truth.
They soon broke up when she saw Enzo talking to me. More like 'flirting'. I never flirted back but Aubrey put all the blame on me.
Honestly I don't care what she thinks about me anymore.
She already made my life a living hell by spreading rumours about me. I thought I got rid of her but here she is again.
"Enzo told me to show you around. Follow me." She spoke with an attitude.
I followed her anyway.
After the mini tour I realised I had 10 more minutes before the meeting starts. I knocked on Mr William's door.
"Yeah," "The meeting-" "We are going to an Italian restaurant for the meeting."
He cut mne off. I was surprised at the sudden change of plan but shrugged.
"Alright." "Let's go then."
I sat in his huge expensive looking car. Oh god, it was so clean and good-looking.
This man is so rich. I felt slightly uncomfortable sitting on the luxurious seat.
"Don't be so stiff" "O-okay."
Shit, why did I stutter? I made myself Comfortable in the car as we took off.
We reached the restaurant in a few minutes. As soon as we walked in Mr William talked to the receptionist about their already booked table.
My eyes widened in realisation that I was supposed to book the table for us. I guess it slipped from my mind.
"Be careful Miss Miller."
He whispered in my ear giving me a small yet low key playful glare.
I whispered a small apology, I felt slightly embarrassed about it though.
I sat next to Mr William waiting for our guests.
"I am really sorry about it Mr William, I'll make sure i don't repeat such a mistake."
I apologized sincerely.
"Alright I put my trust in you."
I could sense the genuineness in his voice. I am glad he forgave me.
"Excuse me? Mr William?" "Oh yes Please have a seat!"
Mr William carefully greeted the guest in pure Italian. They talked Italian fora few minutes then they started talking about the main stuff in English as I sent orders for lunch.
Simultaneously I took all the important notes.
They too asked me questions and I answered them with confidence.
This was my second meeting and I was already slaying it. Satisfaction filled my heart.
After the meeting ended we stood up and wrapped It up for today.
"Oh and Elle I like that confidence!"
