My mind was blank and my heart was filled with guilt. I couldn't even sleep well. Elle was back to being the cold person. Damn why do I always fuck up? But anyone in my place would have did that.
Come on! Those files were so important. But I know I crossed the line by blaming her for the whole thing. I am guilty. I highly doubt if she'll forgive me.
I want some coffee right now and I am NOT asking Elle to bring it for me. There is this awkwardness between us again. With that I myself head to the 40th floor.
I was about enter the room when i heard someone speak.
"Why Liam?"
"I wanna improve myself, I already have feelings for someone else."
It was Liam and....Aubrey?
"I bet it's Elle or that dumbass Mia!"
"Shut up. What do want from me?"
"I want you back." "I was never yours, Aubrey."
Wow were they dating? Did she actually hooked up with me when they both were in a relationship?
"It better not be Elle." "So what if it's Elle? So what if I like Elle?!"
Exclaimed Liam. I went stiff. Does he have feelings for Elle?
"Y-you! I hate you."
"Good."
With that the door opened and my eyes met with Liam. His lips parted slightly at my sight.
He slowly shook his head walking away.
How dare he do that in front of his boss? I was about enter but then Aubrey started talking again.
"Yes. Enzo was pretty mad at Elle yesterday!" I frowned. Don't tell me...
"Yeah, I did as you said, I misplaced those files and then Enzo was so mad at her! Moreover she was crying too!"
She squealed. My jaw tightened. So it was Aubrey's doing?
I was about to open the door and snap at her but I believe the first important thing is I should tell Elle about this.
With that in my mind I thought about visiting Elle at her place after work.
The next day I arrived at work. I couldn't look at him in the eyes. It was mostly silent between us. My voice was monotone.
After what he said I was hurt and angry. How dare he blame me for such a thing?
He was so different from the Enzo I know.
Him acting kind towards me before all this was just an act then? You know what? I am so sick of people like these.

I regret opening up to Enz. I will never forgive him for this! I guess I should just go back to being the cold, rude bitch I was.
Fuck you Enzo.
I was at the cafeteria with my three dear friends. Mia was, as usual, lighting up the mood. I was smiling along, actually, a fake smile.
I could feel Liam and Tristan staring at me. I looked at them.
"What?"
"Nothing."
I questioned, a bit rudely because I really i hated being stared at, to which Liam replied silently. Oh I guess I hurt him.
"Um I guess we should talk about this." Mia said the smile disappearing from her face.
I frowned.
"Why were you crying yesterday?"
"What? I wasn't!"
Tristan, as usual had a blank look on his face.
I am glad he isn't questioning me. But Liam and Mia stared at me.
"You know you can talk to us-"
"I was crying because my shoulders hurt." I answered with a pout. What a lame reason.
"Come on! It's not that deep." I said it with a smile, in an attempt to cheer them up.
"Are you sure?" I nodded with a smile.
"I think we both should go for a body massage! Even my
body hurts these days." Mia said while rubbing her shoulders with a pout. I smiled at her cuteness.
"I think yeah!" I answered. She didn't lie though. I do need a body massage.
Soon lunch ended Mia and Liam hurried off to their department.
I was about to step out of the cafeteria when someone pulled me back by holding my wrist tightly.
I turned around and my eyes met with Tristan.
"You wanna talk about it? Maybe I can help."
I sighed biting my lip nervously. I want to tell him but at the same time I don't.
"Well.
And I gave him a short summary on what happened.
"He was right but he was wrong too." I nodded at him.
"It's alright Elle.. I know you would never lose any files purposely. Make sure you are extra careful next time."
Again I replied with a nod. He placed his fingers under my chin making me look at him.
"Now look here and cheer up" He said with his usual blank stare. I smiled at him. He shows that he doesn't care but he actually does.
"Yeah, you are right."
"Don't think much about it. I have seen him scold Liam too, but Liam being the shameless guy he is .."
I laughed softly. I was starting to feel a bit better than yesterday.
Soon I was off work. I reached home and started cooking for myself when the doorbell rang.
I opened the door and was welcomed by Enzo.
My insides burn at his sight. Why is he here now? To scold me more
"Elle.. I need to talk to you.."
"I'm sorry but I'm busy-"
"Elle please.."
He said and slightly pushed the door open but I stopped him.
"What?"
"Elle, I know you are upset about what happen-"
"Stop! Stop acting like you know me when you don't! Stop pretending to be nice!" I yelled a bit loudly. He was about to speak again but I cut him off quietly.
"W-we can talk tomorrow."
And I shut the door in his face. Tears again slid down my cheeks. I was hurt but at the same time mad at myself for being rude to him.
Am I making a big deal out of this?
Should I forgive him?
