As the fire burned and the stars twinkled overhead, Bellamy and Rose shared a quiet moment together, their hearts filled with gratitude for the bonds of friendship that held them all together.Leah, who had been observing the interactions with a keen eye, noticed Bellamy's gaze lingering on Rose more than usual. She approached him, a malicious smile spreading across her face.
"You know, if you stare any longer, she might catch fire," Leah said jokingly, nudging Bellamy playfully.
Bellamy snapped out of his daydream, his cheeks flushing slightly. "What are you talking about, Leah?" He asked, trying to sound indifferent but failing miserably.
"Oh, come on, Bellamy," Leah's said, rolling her eyes. "You clearly have a thing for Rose. Why don't you just tell her?"
Bellamy shot Leah's a mock look, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and amusement. "Leah, I'm going to enter a brand new zip code!" He responded, using the first name that popped into his head.
Leah's burst into laughter, clutching her sides as she doubled over. "Really? Nice try, Bellamy. But seriously, you should just talk to her."
Bellamy couldn't help but laugh with Leah and shake his head. "You're in pain, you know that?""And you love me for it," Leah replied with a wink.
When the laughter died down, Bellamy glanced at Rose, who was engaged in a lively conversation with Octavia and Kim. The warmth in his eyes was undeniable, and Leah's words echoed in his mind. Maybe it's time to stop hiding his feelings and take a chance.
Taking a deep breath, Bellamy stood and walked towards Rose, his heart beating hard in his chest. Leah watched him leave, a satisfied smile on her face as she rejoined the others by the fire.
Bellamy reached Rose's side and patted her on the shoulder. "Hey, can we talk for a second?" He asked, his voice steady despite the butterflies in his stomach.
Rose looked at him, her expression mixed with curiosity and concern. "Sure, Bellamy. What's going on?"
Bellamy led Rose away from the group, towards a quieter spot where the sounds of the celebration faded into the background. He took a deep breath, then turned to face her, his heart racing. Just as he was about to speak, Kim approached them, his presence instantly shifting the dynamic.
"Hey, Rose," Kim said with a warm smile, interrupting the moment. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"
Bellamy felt a pang of frustration but forced a smile. "I'll catch up with you later, Rose," he said, stepping back to give them space.
Rose glanced between the two men, sensing the tension but nodding at Bellamy. "Sure, Bellamy. We'll talk later," she promised, then turned her attention to Kim.
Bellamy watched them walk away, a mixture of emotions swirling inside him. Leah, having noticed the exchange, walked over and nudged him again. "Looks like your moment was stolen," she teased, a mischievous glint in her eye.
Bellamy sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, thanks for pointing that out," he said, trying to keep his tone light.
Leah grinned, clearly enjoying his discomfort. "Don't worry, you'll get another chance. Just don't wait too long."
As Bellamy and Leah rejoined the group around the campfire, the mood was light and full of laughter. Monty and Jasper's game of "guess the Grounder phrase" had everyone in stitches. Octavia and Raven's debate about traps continued to draw people in, their animated gestures and passionate arguments providing endless entertainment.
