Chapter seven

It's finally the weekend and Stacey, Olivia and I are going dress shopping. Stacey has always been the kind of girl to wear a mermaid dress, and Olivia always wanted to wear a dark green dress, her favorite color has always been green. Nates is also really nice; we've been saying they should date forever since they've known each other since the sixth grade. He's really nice; he plays basketball but is also really good at math so he's in robotics with her. They've been friends for forever and finally, Nate asked her out (with the permission of Leo of course). He makes her really happy, she's not much of a math girl but she likes robotics; she's more English and social studies. But that's because her mom is an English teacher. I often think that's why Leo is so amazing at communicating. After we're done dress shopping Leo and I are going to Dave & Busterers again but hopefully we won't get ambushed again. When I'm going through those racks to look for Olivia and find a light purple dress with flowers and it's sparkly and like my dream dress. I grab it and walk back into the dressing rooms

"So I know it's not my turn to try on stuff but I found this dress and I need to try it on like now" I see both of them turn around as I hold the dress out to them

"Oh my god it's perfect for you, it's your dream dress. Go try it on '' Stacey squeals Olivia just nods and smiles at me and I go to try it on. Once I shimmy into it and manage to zip it up I look at myself in the mirror and I'm amazed. I look beautiful. I immediately feel the need to send a picture to Leo so I did and he responded immediately

That's weird, he unsent like three messages. It was probably auto correct. I step out of the dressing room and both Stacey and Olivia's head turn and they gasp.

"You look amazing, oh my god!" stacey rushes over to me to get a closer look at the dress and Olivia slowly walks over

"You look gorgeous as always, both of them would be proud to call you family, and I'm proud to call you a friend. My brothers going to faint when he sees you in person, assuming you've already texted him about it." Olivias has always been my biggest supporter. My dad died when their mom died so their dad kinda became my dad and my mom, well my moms at work all the time so she's barely my mom at this point. Not only did I lose a sister and dad but I also lost my mom. Just in a different way.

"You know me too well, it's scary." Stacey squeals at my dress and jumps up and down.

I swipe my card on the reader furthermore solidifying my decision that this is my dream dress. We walked out of the store, all of us got the dress that we wanted and were all very happy. Stacy and Olivia took the same car here but I took a different one because I'm gonna go home and Leos is gonna pick me up and we're going to the arcade.

When i get back to my house i set the dress in my closet and hear a chime from my phone to see a text from leo saying he's here so i hop up from my couch and get in his car

"Hey leo!" I say as he pulls out of my driveway

"Hey star. Where do you want to go first? Food or arcade?" Leo always calls me star because that's what my name means, or he calls me Estel because that's my legal name but mostly he calls me star when it's just us.

"Where do you want to go first? Also if we go get food first where would we go?" He smirks at me and puts his eyes back on the rode

"I guess I have my answer then, Arcade." I start playing Gracie Abrams on the speakers and we both start singing. We eventually make it to the arcade which is a different one than the one we went to when we ran into our exes because there was no way we were taking that chance again and as we walk in I immediately pull him over to just dance and he rolls his eyes at me and sighs.

" We always have to just dance, don't we?" I start presing what we're gonna dance to before I pull him on the platform

"We will always have to just dance? Yes we will." I say as the song starts playing and we start dancing. After we finished we went over to skeeball and I won because I'm just amazing.

"You are horrible at skeeball, you know that?" I ask as we go the the next game

"Yes I am painfully aware that I am terrible at skee ball" He says laughing at me.

When we are about to leave Leo gets taken in by a claw machine and is determined to win something, surprisingly he wins a panda bear.

"For you my lady" he says handing it to me as we walk out.

"I cant believe how much money you spent on this bear, what should I name him?" He laughs at my comment about how much money I spent

"How about Wyatt? I've always liked that name" he says as we get in the car, suddenly I have a panda bear that he spent thirty dollars on named Wyatt in my lap.

"Do we know where we are going to get food? Like any idea at all?" I say looking at him

"Well I thought I would get crappy pizza and ice cream? We can do something else but I thought that would be good." he says, taking his eyes off the road and looking at me.

"That sounds perfect, ill order right now." I say looking up pizza places and finding one and calling.

"Um hi I want to pace and order, one cheese pizza please" I say into my phone

"What's the name of the order?" I hear the lady on the phone say as I look over to Leo and stare at him for a second as if to ask the question "whose name?" and he points at me so I answer

"Essie." he nodded at me and continues driving

"Will that be all?"

"Yes it will be."

"Okay your total will be 16.46, will you pay when you get here or now?"

"When I get there."

"Okay your pizza should be ready in fifteen minutes."

"Great, bye." I don't even know where Leo is driving us to anymore till he parks.

"Ice Cream before pizza, my favorite." I say as he smiles at me and we get out of the car.
