Chemistry Lab

I walk into Chemistry and sit at my regular spot: Next to Chad. I see Evie staring at Chad with lovey dovey eyes and groan rolling my eyes. "Any chance he's in line for a throne? Anywhere in line?" Evie whispers to Doug. "Chad. Prince Charming, Jr. Cinderella's son. Chad inherited the charm, but not a lot of there there, know what I mean?" Doug explains as I stifle a laugh. Evie looks at me and smiles before looking back at Chad. "Looks like there there to me." Evie says.

"Evie. Perhaps this is just review for you. So tell me, what is the average atomic weight of silver?" Mr. Deley asks Evie. "Atomic weight? Uh, well, not very much. I mean, It's an atom, right?" Evie replied as me and Chad let out a laugh. Mr. Deley frowns and motions Evie to come to the board with his finger. She sighs and gets up and goes to the board after grabbing something from her red heart purse.

"Let's see. How do I find the average atomic weight of silver? That would be 106.905 times .5200, plus 108.905 times .4800, which, Mr. Deley, would give us 107.9 amu..." She says as she writes the equation and answer on the board. "Amu?" Doug asks confused. I just shrug and sigh at the problem, still confused on how she did it so easily.

"I forget. Always a mistake to underestimate..." Mr. Deley starts before getting cut off by Evie. "A villain? Don't make it again." Evie says as she twirls and throws the chalk back at him. She smiles and goes back to her desk, but not before Chad hands her a piece of paper.

I finish my work and start working on my sketch of my family again. Chad looks at my drawing and smile. "Wow...that's an amazing drawing Tati!" "Sketch/painting! Not a drawing." I retort. "Sorry sorry. But it looks really good! So realistic...." Chad says in awe. "Thanks, Chad..." I huff out. Chad looks at me worrisome.

"Hey...what's wrong?" He asks. "It's just...do you think bringing the Villains off springs here was a bad idea?" I ask him. Chad glances at Evie who is staring at me, with an upset face. "Hey....it's a really bad idea and you can have the guards take them back anytime you want y'know!" Chad exclaims. "No I can't. Ben would never agree to that." I huff out. I look up and see Doug and Evie looking at me with a sad expression.

"What?" I ask. Evie looks away and brushes a piece of hair off her face. Doug looks at her then at me. "It's not a bad idea...I don't know why you asked Chad, when he hates their guts but I think you made an excellent decision." Doug says putting a hand on Evie's shoulder. She looks at him and smiles. "Whatever, the only good Villain kid here is Evie." Chad says and looks at her.

The bell rings and I pack up my stuff and leave. "Bye." I say mostly to Chad. "Bye..." Chad says, sad about my wellbeing. I can feel Evie staring at me as I leave. I hear Doug comforting her and hear her sniffle a few times.

The bleachers; Evie's POV:

"Is everybody at home as pretty as you?" Chad asks me. 'How am I pretty if I was just crying?' I think. "I like to think I'm the fairest of them all. How many rooms in your castle?" I ask him, the only thing I care about. "Oh! Too many to count. You really nailed that chemistry problem today. You're gonna have all the nerds in love with you." He says seemingly only caring about school work.

"I'm not that smart." I reply. "Oh, come on." He says. 'Man he's pretty nice' I think, a blush coming on my face. "No, really, I'm not. But I'm... I'm really good at sewing and cooking and cleaning. You know, like your mother, Cinderella, without the ratty dress." I say before pulling out my mirror from my purse.
