Han Juyeon's POV

ONE WEEK LATER.
Two days into Stray Kids' hiatus.

I sighed, the quiet hallways of JYP feeling emptier than usual. I'll miss them. The thought lingered in my mind as I stopped outside the dance practice room.

Pushing the door open, I was greeted by warm smiles from my teammates.

"Juyeon-ah! You're here early!" exclaimed Yeonmi, the oldest in our group, her cheerful voice breaking the silence.

"Yah, maknae! Pass me that bottle, will you?" Minji called out, her playful tone making me grin.

I tossed the water bottle her way, and she caught it effortlessly, smirking as she added a wink.

Smiling back at everyone, I dropped my bag in the corner and began my stretches.

"Do you think we'll debut?" Jeonghyun asked, staring absentmindedly at the wall.

"I hope so, unnie," I replied, my voice soft but hopeful. "I can't imagine being in another team."

Jeonghyun turned to give me a cheeky grin, and I returned it gladly.

Just then, our trainer walked in, clipboard in hand. We all straightened up instantly, greeting her with grins that were equal parts nervous and excited. Over the past weeks, she'd become like a big sister to us.

"Alright, cuties," she began, a knowing smile tugging at her lips. "I talked to JYP, and he told me... you're ready to debut."

Silence.

For a moment, the air in the room felt frozen.

And then—

"OH MY GOD, JUYEON-AH, WE'RE DEBUTING!"

"WHAT?! SHUT UP, I'M GONNA CRY!"

"NO WAY, THIS ISN'T REAL!"

Insert inhuman screaming.

"WAIT, WHAT THE HELL?!"

"Enough, the five of you!" our trainer scolded, though the playful twinkle in her eyes betrayed her.

We quieted down, exchanging giddy looks as she clicked her pen against the clipboard.

"Jang Yeonmi?"

Yeonmi stepped forward, her hands trembling slightly.

"Song Minji?"

Minji followed, her usual confidence now mixed with awe.

"Kang Jeonghyun?"

Jeonghyun took a deep breath before stepping up.

"Kim Hayoon?"

Hayoon's smile was wide enough to light up the room.

"And finally... Han Juyeon?"

I stepped forward, my heart pounding so loudly I was sure they could hear it.

"The five of you will debut," she announced, her smile widening. "No positions yet, but if there are changes, I'll let you know. Your debut is set for next month."

Stunned silence fell over us again.

And then—

"WE'RE DEBUTING!"

Cheers erupted, filling the room with joy as we hugged each other tightly. This was it. This was what we'd worked so hard for.

3rd Person POV

Hyunjin strolled into the kitchen, where Chan was nursing a coffee cup and scrolling through his phone.

"Morning, hyung," Hyunjin said, sliding a fresh cup of coffee toward him.

"Morning, Jinnie," Chan replied with a small smile. "We're leaving for the hotel in about three hours. Just a heads-up."

Hyunjin nodded, turning to leave before Chan called him back.

"Wait, Jinnie."

He stopped and turned slightly. "Hmm?"

"Tell the others to pack a lot, okay? We're staying for three months. I'll text manager-nim where we're going."

"Got it," Hyunjin replied, taking a step forward.

"Oh, and Hyunjin?"

"Yes, hyung?"

"Remind Jeongin to pack his own lip balm this time. That kid keeps stealing mine."

Hyunjin smirked. "Sure thing, hyung."

As he turned to leave again, Chan added one last thing.

"Oh, and Hyunjin?"

"What now?" he asked, exasperated.

Chan raised his cup, his expression deadpan.

"This coffee tastes like ass."

Hyunjin blinked, stared for a second, and then burst out laughing as he walked away.
