"You're it Sophia.." he tells me again.. as I meet his brown eyes that shine bright in the moonlight..
"You're the one I want to spend the rest of my life with.. it's you.. and it always will be you.."
"Robert.." I whisper softly with tears in my eyes, feeling a lot of guilt for not trusting him.. "I'm so sorry for doubting you, I really am.."
"It's okay, I should never have put that doubt in your mind.."
"If you want to go for the meeting you can, I didn't mean what I said earlier.."
"No, I meant what I said, if I'm here.. we can spend more time together.." he smiles at me, his eyes scan my face, before landing on my lips, he leans in and places a single touch on them, waiting for me to respond. I let me heart take over, and I'm kissing him back immediately, he uses his body and forces me back on the sand, as I lay there, he shifts his mouth to my neck, kissing, and sucking roughly.. "Ever had sex on the beach?"
"What literally or.. the cocktail?" I ask, and he laughs a little, I feel it on my neck.. before he lifts his head..
"Literally.."
"Um..nope, I haven't.. have you?" I ask him the same question and he smirks a little before tucking in his bottom lip.. "I'll take that look as a yes.."
"Mmm... I want you Soph.. I've missed you so much.." he whispers.. granted we haven't for a while since he's been so busy so yeah.. I've missed him that way too.. but sex.. in public like this?! I lift my head a little to glance around, thankfully because it's so late, there's no one around.. so stupidly I agree.. and that is the first time I've ever done something like that, and I loved it, that spark, that connection.. happened right here on the beach, it's what we needed, it's what I need to feel close to him again. I swear I still have sand literally everywhere when I get home, Robert walked me back to my parents, we spent a moment at the gate making out... I didn't want him to leave but I guess I owe my parents an apology for making them worry. So we say our goodbyes, and I head inside..
"There you are!! We've been so worried!"
"I know, I'm sorry.."
"Why didn't you call, or at least tell me where you were going? Thankfully you answered Robert's calls!"
"Yeah, well I needed to cool off so.."
"Cool off? Why? What happened at work?"
"It doesn't matter now, it's all good.. so.. if it's ok with you, I'm gonna go to bed.."
"Oh.. alright, well goodnight sweetheart.." my mom smiles, and I make my way upstairs. The sand that watches off my body in the shower is rather amusing. The feeling of the hot water hitting my skin is so good, my body aches and my eyes are heavy so it doesn't take long for me to fall asleep that night.
So the next week is intense, I'm waiting anxiously for the meeting. Not that I'm actually attending but it's on my mind, of course it is. I know I have to trust him, but as soon as I see her walking through the office, my stomach turns. She shoots me a look with a big ass smile on her face as she walks past my desk, she's following her boss into Robert's office.. I can't stop myself from watching as Robert stands at the door the greet them.
"Good Morning.. and welcome.." he shakes her bosses hand.. before his eyes land on her. This is the moment I wanted to see... or didn't.. I'm not really sure.. but I can't take my eyes off them.
