Chapter 2
*SHAWNA POV*
He took my hand and brought me to his car.
"You're up for a treat tonight, love," he said, giving me a wide grin from ear to ear.
"I can't wait," I replied.
He shut my door and went to his side and slipped his keys into the ignition. I took his hand so his right and my left were on the glove compartment in the middle.
"How was your day, babe?" He asked.
"Well, I got a job!" I said.
"Really! Good job, baby." His accent made me want to die. I met him when I moved to London from Nantucket, a town/island in Massachusetts. My parents were both separated from me when I was young, for drug use, and I was forced on a plane out to London. My life was over that day, until I met Harry at one of his concerts. He and his friends have a band called "White Eskimo" and they were doing a gig in a restaurant II was at, and BAM. Love at first sight. He lifted my hand and kissed the top of it ever so slightly that a chill went right up my spine.
"I love you," I whispered.
"I love you, too Shawna," he said. I loved the way he said my name. So sweetly, so...British. He pulled up into a parking lot of a large, fancy restaurant. The sign read, La Piastra.
"Harry, this place is super expensive!" My jaw dropped about ten feet. I couldn't have him spend so much money on me. I stopped in my tracks as he walked a few inches, and turned around.
"C'mon, Shawna. I want to do this for you. It's our anniversary! Come on. Please," he pleaded. He put out his hand so I could take it. I interlocked my fingers with his and walked by his side. Other nicely dressed couples walked in before us, none of them looking our age. Harry opened the door for me and we walked into a place that was more beautiful than the London Eye in the sunset. The lights were dimmed and the walls were painted deep red with golden curtains around the windows.
"Hi, can I help you?" The lady at the front stand greeted us with a pleasant smile.
"I had made a reservation, uh, 'Harry Styles'," he said to her.
"Oh yes, right this way," she said, grabbing two menus and bringing us into a room that was completely empty, with just one table and a candle lit in the middle. "Enjoy!" She walked out and shut the two doors.
I couldn't believe this. "This wasn't necessary," I said.
"That's not important, and it's always necessary when it comes to you," he cooed, pulling out my chair for me, and gave a small wink. An older waitress came over not long after we sat down with a pitcher of water and her pad of paper.
"How may I help you?" She asked.
